It's mentioned in the game that the tech exists, but it's not at a stage where it can be made man-portable due to things like power consumption and the size of the equipment.
Pragmatically speaking (and because I'm bored): I'm amused by the fact that, until portable inhibitors are fully developed within the TNH universe (or if you guys figure out another loophole than can allow Rogue to touch other people), that Null will
always have to be in physical contact with Rogue so that any threesomes involving Rogue that you guys want to develop. Like, just the thought of her and Laura tribbing, but you still have to hold Rogue's hand, or, I dunno, get a foot inside the body pile somehow so that those moments of passion don't turn into moments of almost-but-probably-not draining Laura's life force. Like, just observing wouldn't be an option for Null - he can't just sit in a chair and jerk off while watching them do their thing.
I guess in
other other words, it's like teaching someone how to swim, but it's group sex. And given the community's head-canon that Kurt is Null's relationship counselor and life coach, we get to be Rogue's Kurt for, or I guess more accurately, Rogue's life preserver and/or female condom, in regards to having safe sex with other women within the relationship which may contain more participants than there are past and current members of Slipknot.
