idk if i screwed it up somewhere, but somehow, i couldn't have vaginal sex with anyone on my save, only anal. is there a fix to this?

I had the same problem. You need to trigger some cutscenes and eventually you will get to vaginal. Keep going

What he said. For whatever reason, vaginal is a part of the relationship quest chain but anal is something you train, so if you do that before you get the vaginal, then yeah you get your situation.

Oversight I'd say. Anal training should be locked until after you get vaginal scene.

I'd give you a save, but I purged mine for 0.8c since it requires new ones and am currently doing a save with the point restriction setting on so I don't have full sex unlocked yet.

Maybe if I played the game as much as I pretend, I'd be there by now to test the exact requirements.

I may be misremembering but didn't Boots say something in the vein of anal before vaginal being a compromise for the people who wanted sex sooner?

What relationship quest level are you at? Labeled something like "Rogue: Dating III" or something. The cutscene is probably after one of those quests and triggered by sleeping in your own bed as most things do.

Rogue is super romantic; she wants to have her first time with Null after a nice date. Just invite her out again, go to the movies and a restaurant, and it will happen automatically after the date.

Laura and Jean will approach you on their own to have sex. Just leave them alone for a few days (e.g., press Q to end the day). Sometimes they will also invite you on a date.

Ron Chon:great question! yes, and they already have an XP and level tracking system!

as some of you all know by now, I'm a big fan of party progression/management mechanics (2000s and early 2010s Bioware games come to mind as big influences). a big growth area for TNH are the various gameplay loops that make up daily activity around the mansion, and I'm of the opinion that one of the most potent ways the dev team can make these loops more interesting is through the perk system. we already have a bunch of ideas, many of them directly and indirectly inspired by the community, for some cool perks for the MC - and it feels like yet another opportunity to reward your relationship building with the game's characters to have them have perks and progression trees as well!

one of the central experiences we want players to have is not only getting to know the X-Men, but becoming a part of the team and (spoiler!) eventually growing into a team leader. molding your team and its members, whether you're in a relationship with them or not, is going to be a key aspect of that experience. core mechanisms for that "party influence" system are already in place in the background, and you can expect more explicit and direct mechanisms to appear in future game versions, like character-specific perks

Maybe some of the gameplay can be like dispatch?

So many triggers for that. The hope is that once people see it happen once or twice outside of tutorial week, that they'd get the idea that it's a trigger on occasion.
But it's still a reminder that we all try to slip in there when people ask for help with events just in case it applies to them.
