so apparently I have reached a point where I sleep at night and dream about all the possible new content coming in chapter 2. the other night, I dreamed about some girl tried to sneak into Null's room at night only to be met by Laura who threatened to make her really stand out among all the girls by giving her a scar across her face and then growling at the poor girl. wtf is going on in my head? lol

I can relate. My phone apparently has been reading my mind, because the muscle mommys posts are landing like crazy on my insta reels. Can't complain, tho. Laura best girl.

This did give me a thought. Of all the members of the harem, Laura is the one who might be likely to encourage Null to add more members since a larger harem means a more prime male, and a more prime male means more elite females. Of course, the other women would have to impress her on some level.

Laura: Storm fought well today. She is a strong warrior. Do you wish to breed with her? She'd make a good addition to your pride. I'll go talk to her.
Laura is halfway across the room before Null's brain has had time to process what just happened.

For the same reason, I can also see her being the most cruel (for lack of a better word) to other members of the harem she considers unworthy, not out of jealousy, but out of high standards.

Oh yeah, I can definitely see all this happening.

I'm pretty sure a healthy polygamous relationship requires every member to understand that NOBODY is #1.

A friend knows some people in a poly relationship, and you are absolutely correct, it has to be completely equal in all directions (in real terms, not play such as sub/dom), and everyone has to be on the same page. Failure to achieve this will lead to failure of the relationship, probably in a messy way.

But that's not what a harem game/ story is. It's about all these girls being so in love/ lust with one guy that they are willing to share him with other women. In reality this simply isn't going to happen. In fact, for those who actually understand people, this is quite possibly the hardest suspension of disbelief in the game.

Wow! The devs have been putting up with people like me for 300 pages? Why do I suddenly feel the urge to weep? Is this that empathy thing people have told me about?

Even if it's meant as a joke, feel free. I don't necessarily consider any ideas I have here to be mine; I'm just speculating based on what has been set up, and if something I wrote is ever used, my first assumption is that the authors were already planning on doing it and I just happened to actually pick up on the clues for once.

It's actually a peeve of mine when a creator changes something because someone "spoiled" it on a random forum. Dude, if someone guessed correctly, it just means you did a good job foreshadowing it or it was a "thousand monkeys on a thousand typewriters" situation where when you get enough random people speculating, it become an almost statistical certainty that somebody will get it right. You ruining the big payoff you've been building towards is much worse than some random internet user "spoiling" the surprise./rant

I mean I'm not one for speaking against people's interpretation of art but I think some of y'all are missing the point in Laura being "the top bitch" thing.

She's not trying to get more mates for her "Alpha." She just wants it clear that she's #1 in Null's opinion.

When we use words like feral and instinctual, it's more that sex is just a natural biological function to her. She's horny so she wants to fuck the horny away with her man. As well as that she senses that her man is horny so she wants to relieve that horny.

Not that she wants to build a wolfpack or something.

I mean, Laura has virtually no concept of human social constructs and societal norms. While left general, it can be interpreted that the first thing Laura did when she wanted to learn about relationships was watch porn. All she knows about relationships is in the game, and it would be natural for her to believe that to be the norm. It's human nature to rationalize things, or justify emotional reactions with rationalizations, so it would make sense for Laura to draw certain conclusions from her observations. And yes, Laura is probably the character least likely to feel a need to rationalize instead of just rolling with it.

I could easily see this happening, and things like this are done quite often with characters who don't understand the society they are in (whether because they were sheltered, are alien to the society, were literally born yesterday, or whatever).

Unfortunately that makes it a somewhat cliched trope. Sooo... I'd only recommend it for comedic purposes, and not lean into it too hard (maybe it happens once, then Rogue or Null has a talk with her).

Null returning to his dorm to find a bound and gagged Emma Frost lying there on his bed with a proud Laura like a cat that just brought a dead bird home to Mommy.

Or you could subvert the trope. Make it so that Laura does actually have the awareness to understand these boundaries, but feigns ignorance or indifference to fuck with the protagonist. They could even make it one of those "inside jokes" among the girls mentioned earlier. It could even be a sort of prank chain. Have Laura make some comments that make Null nervous. Have Rogue come to Null and tell him things Laura has said she plans on doing and how she's worried about her. Have it end with the above scenario, but the girl has a bag over her head, and it turns out to be Jean, and it was all an elaborate hoax. I don't know. I'm spit-balling here.

keep in mind, game is still in early development. they have planned for 6 chapters. 5 covering school and 1 covering for epilogue meaning there is a lot of content yet to come. there was also some mentions of possible sequels so everyone here is hyped for future updates

The correct term is polyamorous, not polygamous. Polygamy implies that the girls are married to Null. And in general the term polygamy is viewed quite unfavourably in the ENM community, due to its association with non-ethical forms, like Mormon or Muslim marriage practices.
