Regarding this and the idea of the girls sleeping around, you mentioned the reason for this game hosting the possibility of poly was that the sexual revolution never stopped, and thus most people are significantly more open to sex than in IRL. That's more than valid a reason to implement flings and letting the girls sleep around with others or among themselves. Chapter 1 girls are more demure towards sex than many real girls their age, for example.
An entirely different reason to not add either would be "we don't want that", which is ok in it's own way. But were you looking for an excuse, this would be a reasonable one.
Have we talked about this before? Idk, but I'm getting some deja vu writing this down.

And as will be repeated since the last time it was brought up, just because the sexual revolution never stopped does not mean:

A. People stopped having standards.

B. That people don't believe that having sex with someone you love is more enjoyable.

C. Dating culture is somehow not a confusing mess of games that gets annoying real fast.

D. That unprotected one night stands don't have risk of STDs and unwanted pregnancies.

E. Thousands of years of human civilization* changing deeply rooted beliefs in no more than 3 decades.

The sexual revolution's goal, and it succeeded on Earth 69, was to remove the stigma against simply having sex. Just because there's a lack of stigma doesn't mean someone is automatically 100% okay with sleeping with strangers or letting their partner sleep around with strangers. It doesn't mean people don't want a single romantic partner, it doesn't mean people are somehow biologically more inclined to be hornier.

*The Sexual Revolution being discussed was a movement in the UK during the 60s and the North America during the 70s. It was not a global movement.

Also as an addon. We'd get more complaints if the girls slept with other dudes(NTR) than we do for people complaining about how restrictive the poly system is. Which it isn't. We've had enough people speedrun having all 3 girls without issue so a bunch of y'all are just impatient and don't read instructions.

I'll note that this is a general message and not targeted directly toward Leathermax.

The points you bring up are perfectly reasonable in the here and now, but when discussing Earth 69 it feels, and pardon the expression, "cherry picky". People can have standards and have sex with more than one partner, have sex with someone they don't love even if it's less enjoyable or even love more than one person, and have sex with protection and with trust worthy individuals.

Regarding the dating culture, I don't know what to say; what's that have to do with this? People can fuck without dating, and Null can date without any issue with a whole platoon. And regarding the beliefs, sure; recently was discussed that Kurt was a christian, and I guess he is in the game too, right? So it'd make sense for him to not go around meat hopping. But considering that in the span of 6 chapters there will be at least 18 girls seemingly ok with sharing one single man (some of which would cannonically have beliefs against that, I suppose), it's a contradiction to justify it with the sexual revolution and at the same time make Null the only example of someone who can have as many girlfriends at the same time as he wants and sleep around. Nobody else does, apparently. Not his girls, who are only his and the characters with most screentime, even if Null doesn't pursue them, if I remember correctly.

Now, the addon is by far the most reasonable answer, and I know well that if you guys added the mere optional possibility of the girls having sex with anyone other than Mr. Me, they'd make whatever Madeninggg has thought about doing to you if you spoil the story mild in comparison. But while this is singlehandedly more than enough to not introduce that into the game, I think that justifying it ingame is either hard, or impossible.

As a side note, while I was writing this post, I got a notification of Madeninggg replying to me saying exactly what is said in the addon. So I guess that settles it, lol.

Do keep in mind that one of the major requirements for being poly with the gals is that they approve of and are friends with whomst'ever you're planning to date. While the three characters currently available are able to get along with just a bit of a nudge by Null, there's no way that will be a universal trend going on.

Dude, if I can sleep with other women, so can they. Just like if they can sleep with other men, I can sleep with other women. There's a couple forms of poly relationships, this is a polygynous polycule. Which is a LOT of effort, especially if you're a touch oblivious.
