Squirrel Girl was introduced in 1990, the cut off is going to be 1996. And I think characters from the X-men are going to be the priority. So they'll appear before anyone else.

I know this isn't about the game so I maybe shouldn't be posting it, but I saw rom got a legends figure announced earlier and figured it would make the rom fans here happy to know (i'm not sure if i'm even posting this correctly since it's my first but here's to hoping)

Devs have said the game will more or less cover the plot of the comics "released between between Giant-Sized X-Men #1 and the Onslaught Saga" the latter of which I believe either happened or ended in 1997. So characters that were created after 1997 are considered off the table.
There's some exceptions, like X-23 being part of the story despite being originally introduced in 2003, which is due to her having her art assets made before the team decided on the scope and range of the game.

Update 0.8 will be some time around march. I believe the goal of updates 0.8, 0.9 and 1.0 will be to make Chapter 1 more or less feature and content complete, but we know it will not start chapter 2. Chapter 2 will start with update 1.1, and who knows when that will happen.heyo just finished the current build. Anyone know the progress of the next chapter? I cant wait to play the new stuff
