OK, I just caught up with this thread and it has been an... experience...
But let's forget about that, I wanna stirr the conversation in a mora light hearted direction.
Let's talk about powers, now we all refer the protagonist as Null, duh, nothing new here.
But what worries me is the new powers he will aquire, just my personal opnion, but I don't want nothing too crazy.
Like, maybe stick to the whole Null thing ya know? Or powers closely related to that, I don't wanna see him shooting fireballs or lasers or stuff like that.
Maybe keep it contained, but still let him fly tho, my boy needs it.
In summary, I think Null should have the abilities to nullify, erase and drain, plus flying, and maybe some minor super strenght just for the love of the game.
I may not want to see him shoot beams or something, but I still wanna see him punch a motherfucker into orbit.
But, I know this probably isn't what the devs plan, and I am okay with it.
This game is great and I love it, keep up the good work everyone.

Hate to disappoint you but so far he has been gaining powers off the girls he is hanging out with. So far he has picked up Rogue's energy drain and X-23's regeneration (and probably a little of her enhanced physicality), if things continue the way they are I would imagine he will gain some sort of mental power from Jean (Mental blasts maybe? Or telekinesis). Once he meets up with Storm, Dazzler and Kitty, I would imagine he will gain some sort of lightning attack and/or blinding attack and phasing.

That's my only nitpick, but hey, maybe the devs will let us choose our codename in the game, and Null will be like, the unofficial canon codename for the character.

Seeing as how tattoos are coming off of the 'list of no' (except for the weird raceplay ones; those can stay on the list [even the one that I approve of]): If Null gets phasing, then public nudity/exhibitionism has to come off of the 'list of no'.

Have stripping them naked in public trigger an anger event if they're not into it. The girls slap Null, call him an asshole, and don't talk to him for a week. But perfect stats allows it for a few lines of dialogue to the effect of "Oh, Null. You silly rascal!" before dressing up again, granted that the team isn't ready to change their minds on full exhibitionism/public sex.

Might as well consider the extra step since non-animated fooling around at restaurants and movie theaters is a thing.

Edit: inb4 Boots "corrects" me by pointing out that tattoos were a budget limitation, not a characterization restriction.

I wouldn't get too dispondant, after all the MCs nullification power is always going to be his signature power, and the more side powers he gains, the less proficient he can be with all of them, because there just aren't enough hours in the day to be good with everything.
You may get your fondest wish in that Storm might end up giving Null her power of flight, as once you have a few decent offensive powers, you are likely to fall back on those rather than gaining some other form attack. Null only seems to gain new powers when he comes up short, if he has his offence bases largely covered, I could see him picking up other powers rather than the damaging ones.

I get you, but it's just something that keeps nagging me, I mean, it can be kinda funny like, a villain is fighting him and is like "Hah! He can only nullify powers at close range, so I will keep my distance!"
And then the MC just pulls out a lightning bolt or a laser beam and demolishes the guy in 3 seconds.
And then the guy is like "He said his name was Null! Why the fuck did I get hit with a fucking laser beam??!!!"
Maybe that can be like, a gag in the game.

Like if he's off in Taiwan and Xavier attempts to use cerebro to track him down. If Null doesn't want to be found, then Xavier won't have the power to use it.

This isn't a perfect solution. As shown in the game, even if you stop a telekinetic from chucking something at you, if it's already heading towards you then... Well... Physics are the deciding factor in that face off.

While I'm here, I'll give some more special insights.

Colossus wouldn't be able to use his armor or enhanced strength. Though he still is naturally muscular. This is why Null is tutored by Laura.

Null also can't cancel out things that exist regardless of the X-Gene. Like Wolverine and Laura's claws are part of their anatomy. The handicap being is that if they pop their claws... they'll bleed to death.

I've been so close so many times mentally about making a femNull mod but animations require live2d things. I could just retexture and have strap-ons, but the oral animations for girl on girl would be lacking.

Unlike that, there wouldn't really be gameplay differences. Just changing the dialogue, face/hair, clothing, add tits, change hip ratio, change arms slightly, and swap equipment loadout downstairs.

Edit:Though 3rd person Null being added next update would also add more challenges.

I have only read about the Jean event so far. If you have already purchased it before, maybe you can gift the additional one to a new girl in chapter 2 later.

I don't know how Cerebro works exactly, but can't Xavier use it to examine other people's minds and see where Null is by looking into others?
Like you can't see him, but others do, so you ask them instead.
And on this subject, what happens if a mutant has some sort of AoE attack that blows up a planet where Null in chilling and he doesn't wanna be blown up? Is the boom beam cancelled or does he end up floating in space?
