Next update is an optimization fixing a long standing issue. Sadly breaks saves which I agree is ass but as I've said several times before, that's the point of all the updates to 1.0 we get the save breaking stuff out of the way so you can enjoy having saves preserved for the rest of development.

0.8c should be the last of 0.8 if things go according to plan. Here's what 0.9 and on will have when it comes to content.

To be fair, though, someone whose whole vibe is "I crash through and break anything and everything" is a pretty natural antagonist character.

Quite a lot of optional objectives have it where an event scene plays when that character is in a location.

The map should have an "!" icon or something when they are there.
I actually don't remember where that objective prompts from. Haven't played through since like 0.7.

Other things in this game require you to walk out of your room. So don't forget to do that sometimes.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Just so you know, all saves before the next update that will drop very soon are going to be not transferable and dead. They held off on tech upgrades not killing saves as long as they could, but it's necessary to prevent it from happening again going forward.
