Actually I was talking about my IRL experience with highschool.
He asked me what I EXPECTED to see in a highschool, so I spoke from what I know.
While I grew up middle class, we shared the same highschool with the rich folk.
So the kids had lots of disposable income, which they spent mostly on drugs and drug fueled parties (guess what happened there?).
The sheer amount of drugs in school was mind boggling.
And there was lots of sex and violence too. And teen drama.

it wasn't like in movies. Never saw bullies giving anyone a swirly or anything silly like that. And they cracked down hard on the violence which kept it as an occasional thing rather than a constant one. But it still happened. and there was constant drug busts.
as for sex, the adults pretended it was not happening.

We've stopped counting the amount of people who have said "The story's so good I forgot to fap." As per the previous conversation, there are a notable amount of players who would prefer a SFW version if it meant we got to make a more true the comic life sim.

Never had a problem with neither art nor animations - they were fine enough for me since my first playthrough.
I'd say that my problem is with uncomfortably high degree of separation from the rest of the game. For me it seems strangely out of context - one moment you have certain location at the certain time, there is circumstances. Next moment all that is forgotten, characters kinda moved to some isolated space and you are expected to mechanically push button to achieve result that won't really matter at all. I see no reason to engage with all that after novelty worn off(and that happened quite fast).

I'd say scripted events like "first time with Rouge after that special date" are working better for me than that "freeform sex sandbox".

I can say that there is going to be more scripted scenes for special events.

Since it's slightly related I'll take the time to inform people wondering about the date sex, yes those scenes will be given art.

About sex mechanic.
It's work, it's okay, but there are caveats.
First of all, it can feel like a duty because of grades at the end.
If you want to give bonuses to player, i suggest add requests replics from partner. If you fulfill that request you get bonus to love/trust, if not then no.

Then there is problem with UI of sex minigame. It's too different from other game and too overloaded.
There is tab for undressing girl, but player don't need it now because girl will undress herself.
If you want a girl to suck your dick, you need:
10. Open position menu
20. Select pose
30. Open action menu
40. Select action
50. (Optional) Select mode (lick, head, suck)
If you want to fuck a girl with next action, you need to repeat that damned algorithm.
Why don't create two button near exit button:
First button open dialogue about changing pose
Second button will open a dialogue about choosing an action among those available in this pose
And if you want, you can even add third button with undressing options.
This way you don't have to switch between tabs of X-MEN sex simulator 2024.

There's this game, Soulgasm. New on the block. It looks brilliant, and it's seemingly still art made into an animation without separate frames just like TNH, but on a different level of execution. Wonder if it could be replicated in TNH?

(might just be 3D art styled to look 2d, but I think it really is legit just still art..)

Edit: Scratch that. The game uses 3d faces I believe to achieve the affect, though the rest still applies.

Yeah, but thats just because they dont have the art for the girls in other poses with the clothes on though, it is not a finished product.

The art for that game does look great but also appears to be in Unity. Ren'Py gives different limitations.

Not currently but we have discussed publicly, and in more detail privately, going with storylines based off of girls' dynamics in the comics that could lead to a much smoother transition into poly.

Random example of two characters having chemistry. Kitty Pryde and Rachel Summers.

We could also do an enemies to lovers thing with Jean and Emma.

Wait, so are you actively asking her/accepting her request to go on a date, and then somehow missing that entire event triggering?
Or are you confusing the study sessions as the same thing as the literal date option?

If it's an actual date, it would automatically start when the 'evening' period starts. I'm not sure what you're doing, could you please elaborate?

I'm at the part where you text her asking if she's ready for the date and she texts you telling you to meet her later but nothing ever triggers.
