Being a huge X-Men fan (though I'm done with the comics) I would love to try this game, but I want to know which characters are available so I can decide if I play it now or wait a while. Aside from Jean, Rogue and X-23, what about the rest? Emma Frost, Psylocke, Magik, Storm, Kitty Pryde, Dani Moonstar?

They still arent in, although Storm, Dazzler are coming next, and the next villain will be Emma.

Dude we're in early development. If you've fooled yourself into expecting a complete experience then that's on you.
'Early development'. Right... Because six updates in total with only claim to fame is fixes, alterations, and minor additions, all of which could sensibly be added with chapter updates and progession of the story is worth the pussy footing around with development. If you guys were ontop of things and weren't, imho, trying to milk this for its foreseeable worth, you could have put up the next chapter by update 5 or even this one. Not the case it seems.

And you can happily disagree with me or make excuses on why development issues have hindered things or whatever bullshit all you want. But it won't stop me from saying this: You guys have a rather promising game here. Artwork, animation, and story (even if its us being the constant punching bag and every chapter we end up in the fucking hospital) is really good compared to Rogue:Lite. Yet... some here, like myself, are likely expecting a bit more with each update. We hope to add more gals to the harem like Kitty and Boom Boom and Storm for starters. But it's been the same 3 gals for the last 5 updates with simple add ons.

Somethings gotta give.

The problem is the more content you add before you have the gameplay systems in place like the texting, clothing and interactions. The more work you have to rework all the existing content to work with the changes. It makes way more sense to get the game systems locked in and feature complete and then start adding in the content. Otherwise your just wasting development time having to redo all the girls/content you have added.

An Example: you add 3 girls with 20 clothing each and then you fix a bug or add another feature to clothing. You then have to go through and modify either the art or coding for 60 clothing items. now if you add 6 girls in that time to the initial 3 then you have 180 clothing items to change.

This isn't a simple AVN were you only have choices making changes to the game. They have an interactive sex system as well as an extensive clothing customization, so are in a completely different development cycle then other devs who for the most part have very simplified coding.

It's early development because they are still creating the foundation for all the content to fit onto. These systems are all custom and take time to get working and bug free. Patience is the key as when all these systems are in place and feature complete then the content/Girls can start being added at a "Fast" pace. Or at least the floodgates will open for new content.

Oh for sure they will end up getting further into the game then a new character will be introduced and an idea about interactions with then will creep in and then be retroactively added for all the other girls. Happens in game development all the time. The biggest thing is getting off on the right footing so you minimize the disruption this can make. Make sure you lock down as much as you can in the beginning and put it place systems to allow scalability for adding in things later.

Which I feel is a side benefit for them going out of their way to code in a way to help modders. The latest update has apparently made easier to mod in custom clothing. Not easy yet but getting better.

Man, we're doing an absolutely dogshit job if we're really just trying to milk this for all it's worth lmao. Definitely trying to milk it by spending way more money than "necessary" on updating old art when we could just say "eh good enough" and move on. These are not development issues, but self-imposed standards that we refuse to lower. This game is a passion project and any money it makes is injected right back into the art with no exceptions. Everything up to this point has been to make sure chapter 1 is as rock solid as possible so we can more easily and quickly add new content moving forward.

I know that the devteam intends to lock down the game before focusing on furthering the story, but I'm betting that they probably will later down the line want a new mechanic that they'll have to retrofit eventually (bonus points for another remaster update later down the line). Nothing is ever truly locked down in amateur-ish development. I personally would advocate against having high expectations for fast content after 1.0 lest you be disappointed.

This isn't really intended to slight the devs, I'm just guessing, though it does sound pessimistic admittedly. Because we're talking 6 chapters here. Super long ass game. There is no way the vision or standards (or the people making the game) will remain the same 'till then.

However I don't think the devs are milking the game by any stretch, I just don't think their idea of a critical design review will go the way they say it will. They work on a pretty damn low patreon income with a whole bunch of people coming together to make a single thing. It's seemingly well organized which is rare in porndev.
Forgive me if I'm misreading but I do want to assure everyone that we haven't stopped production on story and girl content.

Y'all have seen the reveals of Emma and Dazzler.

Behind the scenes, I've seen more of their art. I've seen the art of the third girl we've yet to reveal. I've seen the art of the Chapter 1 finale. I've seen the writers working on all of these things as well. I've been in deep discussion with the writing team on Dazzler's quirk system and I think y'all are gonna love it.

As the kids these days say: "Let us cook."

I know that 99% of you would rather us get the clothing system to be as ease of access as possible before we move on.

Also reminder that it's 5 Chapters with "Chapter 6" being a freeroam. Any story we produce for that "chapter" won't be beholden to a strict timeline.

Chapters 1-5 chronologically are 5 years. Chapter 6 won't follow that rule and we can do more stuff.

To expand. I've said a dozen times before that we're trying to make Chapter 1 as complete of a game as possible.

If we ever need to put the game on hold like if one of us dies or we get a heavy work load or whatever crisis happens you'll have a complete package until I Frankenstein the writers back from the dead or I burn their office down for them to get back to work on the game.

No, see, the greatest con is the one where you put in hundreds of hours worth of effort into a project, all the money goes back into said project and you sit there with a cool end result and empty pockets, on account of all the money going back into the game.

It's so cunning a ploy, even Columbo couldn't figure it out! And he's basically God, so...

Small feedback, since I want to balance some of the bonkers takes and accusations that hit this page overnight:

it took me absolutely forever to figure out how to use the quick travel system, like, specifically knowing when it was working. Even something as simple as a popup saying "quick travel location saved" or something would be nice.

I've been putting it off since 5b, mainly because of how addictive it is, but also a bit like saving dessert for later. Wow,was this worth the wait!

Love the subtle moving of the hair, the changing looks during the conversations, the additional actions in h-scenes, and the shower stuff.

Sadly the last one is causing an error. I tried showering with Jean twice in her room and once in locker room, and after each time I get errors (Ignore leads to more). Is there a problem with old saves (from 5a or b)?

There some non-breaking stuff like at one point during h-scene i don't where I clicked and the picture was carried over to the room background without action/pose interface, and after responding to Jean's message by going over and h-scene, I go to pool and open phone and the message asking me to come over is there again...

Is there also anything that can change lag/response time to clicking in h-scenes and the roll-back smoothness? Rolling back is pretty unresponsive at first then it's like that old skip ten pages a time setting in windows. Also afterwards the play is lost, in other words, rolling forwards doesn't work.

Hope this isn't unhelpful. Sorry I didn't think to try to provide screen-shots/reports.

Otherwise, LOVE IT! Thanks for all the hard work!!

if it happens again, can you include the error report? otherwise I'm just feeling around in the dark
