I know that the devteam intends to lock down the game before focusing on furthering the story, but I'm betting that they probably will later down the line want a new mechanic that they'll have to retrofit eventually (bonus points for another remaster update later down the line). Nothing is ever truly locked down in amateur-ish development. I personally would advocate against having high expectations for fast content after 1.0 lest you be disappointed.

This isn't really intended to slight the devs, I'm just guessing, though it does sound pessimistic admittedly. Because we're talking 6 chapters here. Super long ass game. There is no way the vision or standards (or the people making the game) will remain the same 'till then.

However I don't think the devs are milking the game by any stretch, I just don't think their idea of a critical design review will go the way they say it will. They work on a pretty damn low patreon income with a whole bunch of people coming together to make a single thing. It's seemingly well organized which is rare in porndev.

Four Leaf Studios was created by a group of randos from 4chan, and they went on to create a cult classic called Katawa Shoujo. Despite significant staff turnover and a development hell caused by this, they ultimately delivered a great product. I believe the TNH development team can also deliver a quality product in a shorter time, especially with the better opportunities available now compared to early 2010s.

I had the same bug happen (though I dont have a close enough save to share, myself. I got the error when trying to give the mirror to Jean, but had no problem giving the same mirror to Laura.
Of course, now I dont have an option to buy another mirror for Jean, assuming she is also supposed to get one.

'Early development'. Right... Because six updates in total with only claim to fame is fixes, alterations, and minor additions, all of which could sensibly be added with chapter updates and progession of the story is worth the pussy footing around with development. If you guys were ontop of things and weren't, imho, trying to milk this for its foreseeable worth, you could have put up the next chapter by update 5 or even this one. Not the case it seems.

And you can happily disagree with me or make excuses on why development issues have hindered things or whatever bullshit all you want. But it won't stop me from saying this: You guys have a rather promising game here. Artwork, animation, and story (even if its us being the constant punching bag and every chapter we end up in the fucking hospital) is really good compared to Rogue:Lite. Yet... some here, like myself, are likely expecting a bit more with each update. We hope to add more gals to the harem like Kitty and Boom Boom and Storm for starters. But it's been the same 3 gals for the last 5 updates with simple add ons.

Somethings gotta give.

The mirror was for Laura or Rogue, and the occult posters were for Rogue



Correction: I think you can give her plants, candles etc.

There are items that only show up in the shop after asking that Girl why they don't have decorations and those are tailored to that specific Girl. I think Jean says her stuff is in storage or something and haven't gotten around to them yet, or something can't remember.

Last time I played I unlocked the room decorations and bought everything for Rogue at once. then had the talk with Jean and nothing was unlocked at the store. Finally later had the talk with Laura and unlocked all the items for her and gave them to her. Nothing ever showed up for me For Jean.

I think this is a big improvement over Rogue-Like.

The story elements are good. The quest structure is an improvement.

That being said, all 3 girls have basically the exact same body. It would be nice to see them with more variety in tit, hip, and ass sizes. Also, get Kitty in there asap.

The travel mechanics are a little more complicated then they need to be. Fast travel is a little hidden. The dialog during the sex scenes and changing clothes can be nonintuitive. By that I mean the dialog is still going and you are clicking to move through the dialog, but the options to select are still there so you are not 100% sure when you are clicking through dialog and when you are selecting options. It would be good to darken or fade out the options while dialog is taking place so that it is more clear as a UI element that the options are temporarily not available while dialog is taking place.

It would also be good if the color of options that are building up during a sex scene were different from the options that are selected. When the build up is red and the selection is red it all looks the same. Maybe make the build up red and the selected option green?

They're pretty varied all things considered. Jean is tall and slender and lanky. Rogue is fairly curvy, and Laura is short but hugh-jackman levels of ripped .
While I would go bonkers over some more plush bodytypes or the like, that's really more of a failing of the source materials, rather than this game.
