Might be dumb for asking this but do the other characters friendships happen organically or do they need outside interference I.E. telling them both to follow you and lets say study or train? Noticed a couple of the optional lines for the quests talk about them becoming better friends or whatever but I haven't noticed any change other than Rogue and Jean starting to hate each other due to my exploits.

Even if you didn't put them at odds against eachother, most of them are either in separate social circles or, more accurately, not in *any* social circles. So they need you to make connections or they'd never bother talking to eachother.

And outside of lore- yeah, you'll want to hang out with both or all of them at the same time. Pool and BBQ are good, but iirc having class and training together also works, and those are places they can naturally be in the same place at the same time for.

Thanks for the info, also worth mentioning I do have another save that I made as a backup early on in the story where I hadn't gotten to the "serious" relationship stage and therefor haven't managed to upset anyone (feels too much like real life to me haha) but I will definitely be putting your advice into practice.

Grinding is not skill.

Dude if you consider what's in our game "grinding" after the several stat squashes, earnable stat gain bonuses, events that GIFT you progress... then I don't know what to tell you my man.

That's more of like a gaming approach skill.

Having girls take classes together and train together does indeed give relationship boosts. Not as much as the mentioned pool and BBQ though.

There's some relation simulation that's going on in the background independent of player input but nothing that would outright punish a player that's attempting to get two characters closer.

Though characters will vibe in the general vicinity of people they like.

No examples to give off right now but there's plans for random sandbox events of just walking in on NPCs talking to each other or hanging out and the existence of that friendship will be acknowledged as developing due to Null's actions.

Yo sorry if I've missed comments before this one. I'm not personally aware of any changes that would stop the game but if you can post a screenshot or just tell me what the error message is then I'll pass it onto Ron and see if we can keep it compatible with Windows 7.

from what I'm reading for Renpy. Windows 7, 8, 8.1 support was dropped after 8.3.3.

Null Hypothesis looks to be using the nightly build of Renpy which is 8.4.0

I see in the changelog that modding is made easier, but do we have any modders giving out mods of the game? Because i see no link to any mod in the OP so i guess its hidden in a discord or something?

There isn't a whole lot to mod right now, but the final year is supposed to be much more freeform to allow for modders to make their own story lines. Getting the code base right now is always the correct decision (from a programming point of view), in the same way that building your house on correctly dug foundations is also the best policy.

First H with them is triggered through an event. I'm not sure where you are in the story or even how you got their Love and Trust so high, but doing their events/quests and OR continuing the main story would eventually lead you to an event to get the chance to deflower them (or postpone it). After so, you can do some H with them whenever after. (I haven't played it in awhile, this is going off the top of my head)

No. Actual sex is gated behind relationship status. Make the woman your girlfriend. Get love and trust high (maybe 800?). Take her on a date. She should come to you the next day or so and tell you she's ready for sex -- after you make the night special with a regular date.

Anal used to be gated behind deflowering, but with the decision to make the polyamory more structured we threw you guys a bone.

Thank you all for your answers; I was able to trigger the event, finally it worked right after a date (with girlfriend status and enough relationship points) when not inviting the girls in my room, as I had done in the last few dates in the hope of seeing the newly unlocked sex options.

Yeah, sure, she and Quicksilver both first appeared as a part of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants in #4, but they'd already quit and left by #11. Next time they show up, it's over in Avengers. They're both far more important as Avengers than they ever were as mutants and I'm real tired of the revisionism that Wanda is somehow an X-Men character (as well as the terrible yet longstanding retcon that they're Magneto's children, which is a whole other can of worms). You are replying to a lot of people, so I think you mixed up posts.

If you reread my posts specifically, I was not talking about grinding affection stats.
I was referring to the new mechanic in v0.6B which requires you to grind horniness during each sexual encounter to unlock sex. (exact number of minutes varies depending on which foreplay method you use. as they are not all created equal)

As far back in the timeline we are she's actually left the Avengers and has rejoined Magneto.

Oh. As mentioned earlier it is going to be tweaked with. Dev conversations have mentioned tracking horniness in the sandbox so if you catch a girl at the right time or if she approaches you, you'll be able to skip most of the foreplay and get too it if she's wound up enough.

Also some girls will prefer some forms of foreplay over others.

Notably as a rule women with smaller chests tend to be more sensitive in that area.

If Renpy doesn't support Windows 7 anymore I don't know what to tell you brother. I can talk to Ron about it since he's a wizard but even his magic has a limit.
