discouraging quirks is purely for the sake of saying "this isnt my (the player's) fetish, and I'd prefer not to indulge in it"

Okay, real answer - it's most likely the allocation of assets. There's only a couple of artists working on the game and the set up for shower sex assets are probably low on the list compared to new characters, locations and so on.

I'm not one of the devs, so I don't have any sort of say in this, but if there is going to be some bathroom sex assets, it's going to be either when they get a lot more money to bring in more artists or added in one of the later chapters when the greater priority items have been done.

Told her we'd be Poly. She was cool with it. Even specifically mentioned X-23 because of the event where we sent her to ask Rogue about relationships.

I just went on a date with X-23 and the next morning Rogue is all upset with me for "not telling her". WTF did I miss here?

There cant be any ambiguity, you gotta specifically tell her "hey I want to date laura/jean, are you cool with that?"
It becomes an option after you get her to agree to a poly relationship (on the condition that you tell her who beforehand, and she's on friendly terms with them)

Yes.

It's more of an on or off switch in most cases.

Without spoilers, Dazzler's is probably the most complex as depending on which era of Dazzler is your favorite will determine what is "normal" for the character.

We used to get complaints about "less content" but then a dozen or so people came in and said something like "Their quirk ain't my kink." and "I don't notice less interactions just different ones."

As others have said we want the "normal" experience to be an option as to my knowledge we're the only X-Men, and likely Marvel, game that has the option of actually interacting with characters similar to the source material and not porn parody logic.

Though we did switch things up a bit in that the Sexual Revolution of the 60s/70s never ended.

While you got prudes and conservatives still existing on Earth-69, most people are likely to talk more about sex and non-monogynous relationships.

As our head writer had to come out and defend the last time I mentioned this. This doesn't mean the girls are gonna act slutty for no reason. They're just more open minded.

You're gonna encounter girls who are staunchly against open or poly relationships in future chapters but you'll be able to have a conversation with them about it and change their viewpoint in a realistic manner.

You have your cake and eat it too, it's just less porn parody logic.

On the to do list. One of the things on my wishlist for the budget is individualized bathrooms for the girls.

I imagine Rogue has a waterproof radio and maybe a poster.

Jean's would be filled with a dozen bottles of skincare routines.

Laura's would have claw marks all over since a shower is a quiet moment to get aggression out.

I was aiming for kind of a "Middling Tan/Ambiguously Brown" during character creation and apparently ended up with Demonic Red.

That might be something that may be an option in the future but if you read what the girls say, which half of the "bugs" in the game are just people not actually listening to the girls or Kurt, you'll be able to see what's actually expected from you.

If the team wants to go the extra mile, sure. But I think that most people would settle for taking the backgrounds for the locker room and the dorm showers, gaussian blurring them to the same percentage as the bedrooms, and letting our brains/imaginations fill in the blanks.

I thought skin color was changeable in the mirror...

Middling Tan will be added later when we get back to upgrading character customization. We're putting it off until we start working on CGs that show Null more prominently, such as date sex.

Which is also the reason why girls go to dates with specific outfits. Budgetary limitations.

I think the only tricky area for me is the Laura/Rogue area; since Rogue is so involved with helping laura to unpack her feelings about you, among other things, and gives you some of the play by play. So it can be slightly confusing when Rogue goes "Hey, so I think Laura seriously likes you." then goes "Okay, I'm on board with you dating other people." but still hasn't made the connection between the two thoughts. Not necessarily the game's fault entirely, but certainly an area of potential miscommunication.

Personally, I'd really like if it were possible for Rogue to pitch the idea of you dating Laura to you, if the right kind of conditions are met. Well, I'd like that for everyone, but those two especially.
