... Just saw the "no mentioning other games in reviews"... that's kinda silly given the whole being-based-on-another-game thing, innit? I mean, the gameplay loop, systems, characters, are all a new take on an old classic--which I apparently can't even name.
I dont imagine anyone on this thread being unaware of that game and its not like you will get wacked by mentioning Rouge like here but Reviews are supposed to measure the game on its own merits and failings. They are two different projects with different scopes and people working on them but on the same setting and as you said similar in many ways, so while comparisons are inevitable, for a REVIEW of "The null hypothesis" you should talk about IT and not another game.
You can talk about RL in its thread and about NH here and unlike ghostbusters you can cross the streams every now and then but its not very nice/useful to dedicate much to the comparison of one with the other on the opposite thread

Yeah, I finding it weird too, I even thought there was some drama happening but apparently not (all Oni coding skill drama stays in the "that other game" thread and treads of it's mods, as well as in Discord), and the NH still directly mention that game right at the start.
And I agree, while it's common to have a rule of "not mentioning other products" in reviews NH is like spiritual successor/rethinking of RL so comparasion makes it easier.
Ok, sorry for continuing to ask this question. I promise I've been searching through the thread, but I'm still struggling here.
I can't get Rogue to see Jean as anything other than a Rival. I've spent weeks doing activities with both of them together. I've asked Rogue if she's cool with me dating Jean, and she's not. I've downloaded the console access and have tried using the "Rogue.friendship[Jean]=___" command. Nothing is changing.
What do I need to do to get past this???

I have no idea how you can even get their friendship points to drop to rival. I guess some hardcore cheating on the girls or something.
Anyway, if console commands aren't helping, download URM and drop it into your "game" folder. Open with ALT+M once you load a save and type "friend" into the search and go to page 3. Edit their points with each other in both directories until you're happy with their friend levels.

I don't have the answer.
But Rogue become rival with Jean if Rogue know you cheat with Jean and without Rogue approuval.
The solution is to fuck Jean after Jean and Rogue become best friend and after you ask Rogue for her approuval.
For me I restarted the game.

NEVER CHEAT ON GRILL
I'm thinking my problem was that I went on a date with Jean without asking for Rogue's approval, twice. My dumb ass just completely forgot about it. I think doing that twice just obliterated Rogue's friendship level with Jean.

errmm so I havent played since likke a couple updates and i'm not sure if i've delayed progress and now it isnt coming back or theres actually been no progression since say v6? put it this way, are the 3 new girls in story or still forthcoming. If sum1's online i'd appreciate a quick answer
