Oh, the platonic update dropped? Going to do another playthrough then, as that's the state I want to be at before going into the next chapter.

I see mention of other playthrough variables introduced, and I haven't been watching the thread closely. Is some variation of "friends with benefits", or fuckbuddies, kind of relationship possible in this version?

Basically, I'm looking for a non-emotional playthrough. It would be fantastic if I can squeeze in sex into it as well, but if not then I'll just enjoy the platonic one, just want to be informed.

They have been planning possible hookups but thats a IF and waay in the future, basically only with extra characters that arent the LIs, as far as i can tell i doubt they will make the main girls available for sex without a relationship.

Ron Chon:great question! yes, and they already have an XP and level tracking system!

as some of you all know by now, I'm a big fan of party progression/management mechanics (2000s and early 2010s Bioware games come to mind as big influences). a big growth area for TNH are the various gameplay loops that make up daily activity around the mansion, and I'm of the opinion that one of the most potent ways the dev team can make these loops more interesting is through the perk system. we already have a bunch of ideas, many of them directly and indirectly inspired by the community, for some cool perks for the MC - and it feels like yet another opportunity to reward your relationship building with the game's characters to have them have perks and progression trees as well!

one of the central experiences we want players to have is not only getting to know the X-Men, but becoming a part of the team and (spoiler!) eventually growing into a team leader. molding your team and its members, whether you're in a relationship with them or not, is going to be a key aspect of that experience. core mechanisms for that "party influence" system are already in place in the background, and you can expect more explicit and direct mechanisms to appear in future game versions, like character-specific perks

Yeah I saw that. It doesn't really answer much outside of "companion perks". Not really sure how that will come into play based off of the game as it is setup right now. Anyway, just another way to say "more to come."

Every my save is crashed in new version and now I need to move through the complete story. So, here a bunch of cheats to speed up you progress restoration. Don't forget to enable renpy console:

Player.cash = x - set money to x value

Player.History.update("bought_skill_point") - adds 1 skill point. To have more just launch command a few times.

Names(Rogue, Jean, Laura) - v0.8b
Names(Rogue, JeanGrey, LauraKinney) - v0.8c

Name.love = x - set love to x value

Name.trust = x - set trust to x value

max_stats = (3000, 3000, 3000, 3000) - raise cap values for every game chapter to allow girls to have higher shame cap. With these values it allows you to change girls clothes more freely, like make Rogue wear her green transparent top with no bra outside the room, etc. But for that your need also raise their love and trust values.
