i don't mean to go off topic, but i just though of something. nobody has done anything with bruce willis' unbreakable. i feel like someone could get a vn or few with a mc with that movie's backstory and powers. or even a villian mc like the beast in split.

To be fair, the Unbreakable movies don't have, like..."lore" except "Bruce Willis, SLJ, and McAvoy's characters existed and then nothing but disappointment happened and they died." The potential for more is just a generic plainclothes urban fantasy setting, "realistic" superheroes who don't use costumes or codenames. There are several games in that general ballpark (although many of them despite being labeled "superpowers" are actually about wizards and magic I guess for lack of a better tag)

I for one wouldn't mind if some of the Ren'py harem games out there about original characters actually had spandex and masks and alter egos, though I understand most people don't have the art skills to make their own unique outfits for Koikatsu/Honey Select and are limited to the assets they've downloaded.

BTW, correct me if I'm wrong but, Jean's sibling quirk seems like it's only activated/encouraged during either the Juggernaut or sentinel scene. Which means if you're going for the poly route, which requires 600 trust, which, if you have seasonal caps on will mean you can't reach that until after both of those events, I think. Doesn't that mean if you're going poly with seasonal caps on, you're SOL for getting Jean's sibling quirk? And, if so, is that intentional?


This might be a pain, but something they could do that's not straight numbers but still vague to not be 4th wall breaking to shift the colors of the box depending on the relationship number. RonChon already implemented customize colors on clothing, might be semi-easy to apply that to the borders around the character's profile in the menu. It'd basically be a mathematical calculation of one color to the next. i.e.
  • Split each color into its hex RGB code for the 2 tiers. (i.e. #FF0000 -> Red: FF, green: 00, blue: 00)
  • Divide each color difference by the tier (so 255/20=13)
  • For each point in friendship, add to that value of the color (i.e. If you're going from red to white, 5 points in friendship would be 5 * 13 = 65)
  • Apply that new color to the border (65 = 3C in hex. New color for the border is #FF3C3C)
This will have the added advantage of not needing a webp for each frame. The disadvantage is, for color blind people, it'll be REALLY hard to tell if there's any progress for some colors. And also, might need to check if the transition from one tier to another will look like a completely separate tier.

Placeholder. Ron wants platonic versions of quirks due to how romantically phrased they are.

Its absence is just one of those quirks* of game design. Sometimes things are removed, a build is put out without it, and then the refined version gets added in.

*Pun 100% intended.

I mean it is in character for Charles. Even by the most ardent "no kill" rule holding heroes, Charles forgives a lot of shit that the other heroes would at least give a beat down for.

Though this is part of our reaction system. Think Telltale. People will remember how you interact with them.

And no, it won't be just react to thing and then immediate response.

The game keeps tally of your choices and makes a judgement of your character in Chapter 1's finale. This will continue to happen with much higher frequency as the game develops.

Just going to point out that Deadpool 'seduced away'(so to speak) the significant others, Fiancee's and such, of various Marvel characters, usually villains from Thanos to Dracula and others.

So Deadpool hypothetical could serve as a rival in a romantic sense. Not that such things would necessarily happen here for a variety of assorted reasons, but still.

When hooking up I had both Rogue and Jean saying something along the lines of "Hey do you think maybe we could...never mind". Any idea what they want specifically? Am I missing a trigger for something? Or is this one of those lines that come up repeatedly no matter what?
