That would defeat the whole point and how the game has been handled thus far in terms of writing.

I guess, this game tries to be more realistic take compared to it's inspiration.
So I just feel that shame mechanic is useless in general (especially as it adds "hard cap", if I understood correctly some of the comments in here)

Well, to put it into perspective why both of your complaints make no sense with TNH, the game has done a better job at writing the characters and staying true to the source material than Marvel has done since Disney bought it.

Did I complain about writing of the characters. I think last version I tried was 0.7. I did enjoy characters - and it felt nice that game has a plot that is moving somewhere and not just a sandbox that is not going anywhere. All characters felt distinct enough.
But "porn" part did feel very restricting even after grinding relationship stats to a high level.

Its either a porn parody like RLE or not, none of these girls would be caught dead being paraded around like a cocksleeve.
Hell, in the comics, Jean had to be mindfucked into becoming the black queen to drop her good girl persona, and that broke her as a person and ended with her going out of control as the dark phoenix leading to her death.

Will doing a visual-only switch satisfy the people asking/wishing for pregnancy content though? Because I'd imagine those who are into that would want the game to reflect pregnancies in the story and dialogue itself.

Plus visual-only pregnancies with no impact on the story seems kind of half-assed; maybe I'm wrong but perhaps the effort it would take to do this would be better served full-assing other parts of the game.

Well, my point is valid then - shame mechanic is redundant addition for this game. As it won't be used for anything (for example, exhibitionism quirk development).

So it's quite good visual novel in X-men universe, but people should have very restrained expectations regarding "porn" content (at least for now).
I think, me being unable to stop comparing two games (this one and it's inspiration) does not allow me to fully enjoy this one. I hope that there will be a possibility of more "exciting" developments in porn part of the game (at least threesome scenes in polyamory route).
