Thoes are all great, he should get a Smith &Wesson snub nose model 69, its a stainless steel .44 mag on an L frame. Its smaller than an average .44 on an N frame so it only holds 5 rounds but you can load baby fart .44 special round for practice and atomic hard cast .44 mag for super human defense. Also its a model 69.... 69!

I want upclose and personal, not "advanced rock throwing" like a coward.
Just get me some Adamantium knives so I can make Stabby proud. Maybe upgrade them to Vibranium energy projectiles in later chapters.

That's why I call myself basic when it come to guns because I was thinking Metal Gear [Solid 3 and 4], John Wick and Die Hard because I've only learned so much though Brandon Herrera and the Kentucky Ballistics guy. That, and I just figured that, and I am projecting my hypothetical preferences a bit, that Null doesn't strike me as a revolver guy and would be too skittish around anything that shoots larger than .45; though it would led itself to a funny moment at a shooting range where Null gets spooked by a .44 magnum or a .50 AE and complains about the recoil hurting his wrist while Laura can shoot them pretty flawlessly, to carry on the running theme of Null getting emasculated by Laura. So as far as pistols go, I feel like something between the ranges of .22 and .45 suits his current temperament.
...That said, the model 69 recommendation didn't go over my head.

Listen, lots of problems could be solved with a quick showcase of superior firepower, thats how you get a rabid mob to back off.
Besides, Adamantium is expensive, what are you gonna do? ask Laura to lend you her claws?
And Vibranium, youd need to go hijack some from Wakanda, or steal Caps shield.

First off, Rule of Cool. I think a badass weaving through battle dodging enemies and bullets to slash at them is cooler then a glock of any size or caliber. I'd need atleast some Ork levels of ludicrous dakka or a straight up grenade launcher to match it in Coolness.
Second, I'm sure Laura would be willing to donate some claw shavings to Forge so we can get Adamantium alloy/laced blades. If not, just use leftovers from Weapon X facility #32 through #2,8472,365.
And lastly, why hijack from Wakanda when you can diplomacy it instead? Hell, they gift the stuff to practically any hero that proves themselves, so just have Ororo put in a good word for Null and BAM! Short swords with energy blasts. Double Hell, don't the X-men have the tech to make energy blade type weapons? I mean they got a room full of murder holograms after all.
Besides, gotta score some extra points with Magik when she's added and by Rogue's Ass I'm sure she'd like a bladesman over a gunman anyday.

People are underestimating our boy Null a bit too much ( yet again ) , he survived the Juggernaut , the Sentinels , getting stabbed where the blade couldn't even penetrate his skin and a friggin red headed nuke
He doesn't need a gun to protect himself and there is also the fact that besides the nullification , enhanced durability and physical attributes he also happens to syphon energy around him to the point where it could kill others
Over time with practice and control over his powers he is gonna be a legit threat to many mutants and non mutants alike
