Because I'm a basic bitch, I vote that Null gets either an M1911A1, H&K P30L, or a Beretta 92F.
I can just picture Null wondering about what cool gun he could get, thinking about tacticool stuff only for Laura to smack him over the head and handing him a glock.
Null wants the mutant power of teleporting to the hospital, so he gets a Sig P320.

Yeah, sure. Null probably doesn't need a gun. But I and others want Null to have a gun; especially with the John Wick portrait and the recent Cyberpunk 2077 memes and references.

Why deny the Keanu Reeves playthough?
Eh imo Null with a gun would be too generic , now Null with melee weapons would be great and would keep up with the continuity of him being trained with all kinds of melee weapons by Laura

I think the better option would be giving us players the choice of either going for the melee route or gaining proficiency with guns

I think null should be like peter petrelli. No need for a gun. Also, he should have all the powers, but lesser. Like if he is fighting cyclops blasts with his own he should always lose.

Its funny, I was thinking the exact opposite. Melee weapons are so common in everything that it's rare to see anything centered around guns, especially accurately depicted guns.

Player option is, I agree the correct path.

Or maybe hit us with a third option of combining both the skill sets giving Null a more versatile approach in combat but in exchange make the skill point requirements a bit higher to balance things out

Beta update totally unplayable for me, the screen constantly flickers black, fully or just in sections, or background art will flicker ontop of other UI elements such as the phone or save menu

Edit: SOlved the flickering issue. Press shift+g and turned powersave off and force ANGLE2 renderer

You know if Null really turns out to be Legion he might be the most consistent version of the character yet (even more so than the FX series version) since he wouldn't have any mental issues to hold him back which, while he might be the weakest version of the character does give him a nice advantage.

On the topic of Null's combat... would be nice having a katana-wielding Null due to the cool factor. Either that or going full Equilibrium on his foes asses.

Man, I remember spending ages learning (and failing) at Royalguard before managing to complete a playthrough with it alone. It's definitely the hardest to master but boy does it feel good to parry almost every attack coming at you.

Maybe it's one of those things that you don't want until you experience it and then you'll love it but I currently still feel it's a copout to just make Null a version of an already existing character instead of him being unique to Earth-69.

I know I know, "Original Character, Do Not Steal" and all that but nothing says a completely new "self-insert" character can't be compelling on their own merits and it would be better in terms of immersion in my personal opinion.
