It's a reasonable question. If michaelcros had picked up the work from where Phalzyr left off, as the comment from xapican just above yours asked, then the old saves might work.

I love this game, but the bugs in the original annoy me.
Does this remake get rid of said bugs, i.e. doing something out of order once screws the rest of the game up?

Sadly not - the structure of the game is completely different. I have incorporated the save games from the RPGM original though

The game logic for this version is generated from the RPGM original, so bugs in the original are here... however, I have hacked in fixes for 2 game breaking bugs: the breakroom-event-does-nothing bug, and meet-professor-doesn't-fire. These don't occur in this version. There are a couple of other things where you can see some events out-of-order which I haven't addressed, as they are fairly minor and I didn't want to add a whole bunch of hacky logic.
If anyone does encounter a point where they can't progress however, DM me your save and I'll take a look

No. This is the complete* game - the logic and scenes are generated from the RPGM original
* as complete as made sense for this version. I cut out a few events that did nothing (Dixon's back room door, gent's restroom in the office, the elevators, and 1 or 2 NPCs)
