This game has mostly text descriptions with some portrait changes, no CGs or animations. The main theme is corruption/mind control.
Fights have textual cut-scenes as one side or the other is worn down. Some losses lead to short sequences where you join the people who defeated you to corrupt others, something you don't see that often. You also make choices that determine which faction's story plays out in the back half of the game.
If that stuff doesn't interest you, then you probably shouldn't waste your time.
