It's a neat game, but clearly still a work-in-progress.
I liked:
- the combat. Not super hard, but also not boring. Parrying enemies is fun.
- movement is fast and exploration adequately quick, especially once you have double jump.
- the pregnancy mechanic gives different bonuses depending on which enemy impregnated Wegild.
- the smutty animations, from the struggle mechanic animations all the way to the tentacle egg laying.
- the game is easy to follow, the only level where I got lost is the one towards the end where you have to find a mutated spawnie for Maximus.
- the characters, except for Urist. Wegild is hot and I like how Eva and Fizwiz are supportive to her role as a warrior seedbed. Wegild isn't super into getting impregnated all the time yet, but there is a lot of potential for this changing in future content, like through the fertility goddess.
I didn't like:
- game breaking bugs. If you lose your final heart to a basic spider enemy, some placeholder loss image shows up and you become invincible at 0 HP. If you clear the dungeon like this, the game will autosave, but you cannot sleep anymore, which locks you into the hub forever. The "I'm stuck" option does not fix it.
- It's odd that the game makes it hard to become pregnant without losing progress and that you only get the pregnancy stat bonuses after returning back to base. Right now the gameplay loop is: you go into a dungeon and lose on purpose via slideshow for a guaranteed pregnancy, then go back into the dungeon with the pregnancy bonus to clear it and return, give birth, then go back into a dungeon and lose on purpose again to get another stat bonus, and so forth. It would be far more convenient if you could get the pregnancy bonus without having to leave the dungeon.
- It's a bit annoying that you always have to lose HP and sit through the struggle minigame to get a sex scene. It would be great if Wegild had a battle fuck attack of her own, or at least an easy way to increase her lust bar to make enemies more likely to use lust attacks.
- The incomplete features. Npcs are there, but don't do much. You help Urist restore the forge only for him to not do anything with it. Similar thing with Eva and Maximus.
- Too many "beastkin" furry animal enemies. I would have preferred more variety. If there is going to be a 4th zone, it needs to have a different theme.
- The slideshow loss scenes are a bit underwhelming.
Hey there! Thank you for a lengthy comment and sharing your thoughts and please, let me address all of that (the things yo u didn't like)!
- The technical state of the game is still being polished, for the 0.2.9 update I plan to have this and many other bugs solved. I have just finished refactoring the sex animations as well as some of the issues with the current water hazard system. While I still have lengths to go, I believe that I am on the right track to make the game better in that regard.
- you can actually get the bonus inside the dungeon since the pregnancy progresses to the early stage (the one that has bonuses) over time. There will be methods to make it faster as well as the ability to continue the adventure in the late pregnancy stage as well, although since drawing sprites takes time (and there are other plans at the moment) it will be implemented a bit later.
- I promised it long ago but I still stand by it, there will be a lewd attack added for Wegild as well, it needs to make sense lore-wise tho, so I need to first add some more things to the game and then, maybe after the MC get's redrawn (my style has vastly changed and improved over this time) I will add the animations + the reason to do so
- I am currently prepping some cute slimes to amend this issue and, you need to take my word for it, but there will be many different types of enemies in the future.
- NPC's feeling of incompletion... well I cannot say too much here since yes, it is true, and yes, they will do many more things in the future.
- The scenes are being improved, since the artist I work with has made some nice leaps to his style as well. The scenes are almost done being revamped and lengthened. IF you have any specific questions about the slideshows or ideas how I could make em better, please share them
And as for the positives, I'm glad that you found the game enjoyable despite its current, rough shape. I wanted to reiterate that I am doing everything I can to improve the state of the game and my skills, both drawing and programming ones, to make the animations and content better.
