I cannot confirm stuff dissapearing randomly as, so far, it didnt happen to me, but i can confirm the look resetting to default values if you use save system that appears in pause menu when you enable cheats. you can safely load the game from pause menu, but you should not save by using save option from the menu, just save in game world by available means. sadly, i didnt find any reliable way to recover the character look after this problem appears, tough luck. i hope this helps you avoid this annoying bug in the future.

If you research clay from the big rocks you can mine by rivers, you can build smithy, smelter and something I think was called a baker(it makes ash from branches). You can build molds at the workbench and smelt down empty cans and coins to make iron ingots. Smithy is where you build your iron tools, including the shovel. Note the smelter does require two slaves to function.
This is all based on the last update, I've not had time to get that far this time around, but I doubt that stuff has changed.
update the parasites 0.1.2.3.0 , please, very good game but paying for each update on Patreon is sad

It's already here, scroll back a couple pages you'll see 2 people posted links.
Save system from menu works just fine, but you have to use 1st or same slot you started the game with.
I even was able to rename the folder from savegame_1 to savegame_2 and copied previously backed up savegame_1 and I had 2 saves in 2 slots in the game and both loaded my character. But I didn't try to re-save on slot 2. Not sure if this will work as it should.
The point is. If you want to have more saves, back them up, and then you can push them with savegame_x number to the save folder.
