Natively build models with deep customization possibility, without relaying on external modeler, textures, mappings and so on.

Neither Skyrim nor fallout are bad games, dont get me wrong. But their engine is pretty frikken and does not support deep model customization.
This frikken engine is fork and inheritance from Morrowind and maybe Battlespire/Redguard even
And Bethesda just develop something in addition to make it a bit modern instead of using something contemporary like UE or to develop something in house

I like the idea of mixing "forest" with some nastiness. Combat is a bit buggy. Also you have to grind hard to survive. Need moar stuff in there and yeah we demand moar NSFW (grabbing, taunting, some "friendly" npc... dunno )

Well it wasn't me with take of beth engine being bad as it's old with legacy from Morrowind...

NetImmerse is from 1997, rebranded to Gamebryo later, then expanded into Creation Engine for Skyrim release in 2011 and Creation Engine 2 for Starfield in 2024.

Unreal Engine is developed since 1995 and released in 1998. And iterated since. UE5 isn't some big thing built from groud up, just big update to what was with 4 with Nanite and Lumen being biggest things.

Sadly not gonna happen. Tooling for extra fast creation of landscape, characters etc. is just too tempting and makes big scale achieved by low workforce.

A and AA scale can just go with bigger scale on lower budget, solo and small devs can just so fast release something which look far into the project to grab support.

The excuse game developers make "optimization comes last" is the laziest/dumbest idea ever and sadly most game companies actively use it.

The download is a bit big, but the game looks pretty good, even at 4K. The assets are the biggest part of the download and no one complains about huge download sizes for AAA games. Future updates will prbably add more animations, NPC interactions and quests (and quest markers), but these don't really add much size to the game.

Anyway, it seems to run quite smoothly, even with maxed out settings at 4k resolution, so they have to have done some optimization. Granted, I'm using a 4070TI, but I've seen UE games that wouldn't run well, even on that hardware.

The survival is a bit too realistic, in my opinion. I understand that it would be hard to find food in this scenario and that it would be even harder to find weapons and bullets for your gun, but it doesn't make the game very fun to have to start over from the beginning every time something bad (of which there are quite a few around) catches up with you.

Graphics & Physics, but second is problem even for ue games (if you played VAM you know what I mean).

Game is good, but has so much pain grind, and so much micro management.. after using cheats its still hard to manage to fight any one.. gun only load with one ammo, manually feed the magazines!! so real grind!! may be DEV will understand and make these game moreplayable in next 3 years... and it crash as IT is IN EA(not Electronic Arts),

i dont wanna be "negative" but i know how this end. BIG IDEA (and good) but UE 4/5, 12 FPS on nasa PC, verision 0.2 / 0.4 and abandoned. This is to big project for ONE Developer. simple truth.
