if anyone is having issues with the blurry textures: i believe it has something to do with your graphics card, namely, any graphics cards that are 4gb or lower. my question is: has anyone thought of a workaround/fix? or do i give up and buy a new pc? or just delete this game and not look back? (currently on a laptop, AMD ryzen 3050, 4gb, smh.)

yes, it doesn't help at all. even on max graphics, the game runs smooth and well, its just that every single texture looks like playdough. its interesting that the main screen and previews in the graphics screen all show like normal, but in game everything looks terrible.
The DX12 isn't working for me, so IDK, but try to change SM6 to SM5, or maybe the lightning or shading to lumen (actually for me it had almost no impact on smoothness, but graphically was a huge improvement)

Needs a setting to disable the player from getting dirty or bloody. Also eye color is bugged and only one of the eye colors gets changed. At least I hope its a bug as I don't care for heterochrome eyes.
EDIT: Also needs a way to hide armor/clothing/backpack/accessories pretty much everything accept for what is active and in my hands at the moment. I like the idea of it essentially the forest but a 3rd person porn game. Sadly to many elements trying to get in the way of the porn half of the game. Girl keeps whining about being nude or cold. Feel like I'm just better off playing another 3rd person survival game with a nude mod. Also desperately needs a HUD for health, stamina, hunger, thirst, temperature.

Id like to let you know that, THE PARASITE, this game was born as a SURVIVAL GAME, with explicit content, and it's still as this, The fact that you have a "few" explicit things does not put it in a porn game category xD
The developer had to add thos content just to "give" what people was asking for, BUT its not and WILL NEVER BE a porn game.
Im telling you just to let you inform about that, not for disrupt your expectations eh.

I just used porn for a lack of a better word. It wasn't actual sexual content that bugged me as I never made it to any before dropping the game to even be able to judge any of it(if there is any). I just want to be able to play the game while fully nude without being punished. Without clothing I lose defense, get cold, and lose a lot of inventory space. To hide weapons and tools that aren't active in my hand I have to unequip them, which means I have to go to the menu every time to requip them when I need them which is annoying. The blood and dirt is anything but enjoyable to look at and adds nothing of value to me personally, same with the one eye color. I'm not asking/suggesting to remove anything, just options for those who want to use them. How you meant to get rid of poisoning, I spawned in both snake and scorpion antidote but it just says it's the wrong antidote.
I think it might be a bug unless you have food poisoning. If you take right anitdote it should be fine even if it says wrong anitdote. did snake or scorpion bite you?
You can have dmg decrease from totem ability. no need of armor or clothes at this point in game. You will get cold defense aswell from totem abilities. yea but for other stuff you need clothes including inventory space. Hope this info helps you
