im trying to do the tutorial and im a bit confused, i made the axe and it tells me to cut the bush but all i do is punch it. i tried hitting 2 since it looks like thats what im supposed to do but nothing happens

nevermind it looked like i needed to hit 2 but 4 equipped the axe

Yup, 1 is rifle, 3 is pistol, 4 is Axe (you can hold 4 to change between axe and pickaxe), 5 is spear or warhammer, X is molotov.

For those of you who don't want to start again when changing versions, do this, Start new game and select a new save slot DON'T OVERWRITE your old ones, Start from day one, exit cave and make a shelter to save your game to. Save and exit game. Then go here : Local disk C / Users / "your user" / AppData / Local / TheParasites / Saved / . Here you go to Savegames and copy the content of your old save ( usually is the one with like the most kilobytes ) and paste it over the new save game files, overwrite when asked and start your game. It will work as a charm but sadly you lose your powers ( Activate cheat console and add the entities u need for your old powers ). Voila'!

to anyone or the original poster who sees this, I think the game looks great but I seem to have a problem with it I have played this game in the past on my computer and it opened and worked all the way to the character customization screen I was able to customize the character and optimize the settings but it didn't run the full game and gave me a fatal error. a while later after the game experienced some updates I tried to play it again and had a similar issue only this time the game wouldn't open at all without giving me a fatal error pop up. I have a Intel Core i5-4300U CPU Processor @ 1.90GHz 2.50GHz, with an Installed RAM of 8.00GB and 237GB on my computer although I use a SD card to store the game when running it which has 1TB of storage. I have been able to run other Unreal Engine games such as; Wild Life, Breeders of Nephelym, Subverse, Carnal Instinct and Beasts of the Sun. I've even been able to run and play larger games such as Koikatsu and Honey Select 2, I don't entirely understand why I am receiving fatal errors for this game when I have played similar games with no issue. I have been looking for a solution on this forum thread and have come out with nothing. I'm not a gamer I barely know anything about PC specs and I barely play any video games at all, but I would really appreciate an answer or at least be directed to a version of this game that can run on a computer like mine. I'm asking this because I need help with my problem so I hope that someone who can help me will come across this. Thank you in advance.

Fatal errors can have a bunch of different meanings.
Tougher to diagnose without the exact crash message, but here's a few tips to get you moving along.

C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\AppData\Local\TheParasites\Saved
Check this folder for the crash logs, this may help identify the exact cause of the crash.
You may also try deleting this entire folder if you don't care about your save games, see if a total reset helps or not.

Otherwise, here's some common software related issues that may resolve your issue.

Run the redist found under Engine\Extra\redist\en-us\
Update to the latest & supported DirectX package
(press the Windows key + R, then type "dxdiag" - this will show you the supported version of DX on your system.
Update Microsoft Visual C++ (search vcredist)
Update your graphics driver

If none of this works, it's either a bug on the developer's end, or you have an odd hardware issue.

i'm not sure if it makes a difference, but for me (64bit system) it seems more stable if i execute the game using this .exe:
:\TheParasites\Windows\TheParasites\Binaries\Win64AdvancedLocomotionSystemV-Win64-Shipping.exe

Hey, here I am, with the necessary fixes. Hopefully the gameplay will be much more stable and enjoyable now. Enjoy the game, see you.

I know there’s a problem with downloading the project because of quota limits, especially right after updates come out. Sorry about that — I’m working on it.
For now, you can try workarounds like saving the file to your cloud and downloading it from there. If you have any issues, feel free to ask in the Discord community — there are some guides there that can help.

Updates

• The character creation menu has been updated. Now you can create a preset for your character

Bugs fix

• The folder name indicated the demo version
• The weather mask does not work
• Movement with arrow keys has been slowed down
• When attacking with the buttstock, the ammo will disappear
• Sometimes when you load, the character could have phantom settings when entering character customization that were not taken into account when applying
• Tooltips sometimes displayed the wrong amount of missing items
• ESC did not close the notepad/watch
• It is impossible to wash Anna in any way
• Shower installation is moved back after construction
• If you save your game in a different slot, it resets your character customization
• When you load a save, all of your character customization is reset to the default
• In the Skin section, the Melanin Blend is WAY too sensitive
• None of the Tattoos except Anna and Type 3 show up in the creator
• Mannequins on the level
• Unable to drink from water collector, but can with bottle (there was no hint that the character didn't want to drink. it was misleading)
• When scrolling in the character creation menu, the camera zoomed
• in character creation in the radial menu it reset incorrect values by default
• Freezed non-working sliders in character creation menu (temporarily)
• The sawmill used 2 logs
• The shower is called a sawmill
• if you save the game to a new slot, the cut down trees and some important values will be lost
• the time and day counter were incorrectly specified when creating a new slot
• Crafted/Picked Up Items Were Put in Belt Slot Even If You Didn't Have One On You
• Could break sticks while holding resources, for example a log
• if you take off your clothes and put them in some container, the armor and heat retention information will not be updated (the information stacks)
• The first aid kit could not be lifted in the car
• Fov values were not saved after restart
• when disassemble clothes in a clothes container, they will not disappear, but you will get scraps of fabric without updating the weight (dup + total weight loss in -)
• During shooting, the weight of the removed bullet is added to the total weight value
• if the meat rots then the slot in the fire will not be valid
• it was impossible to drink from the pot
• durability was not displayed in the fire slots
• when you fill a bottle with water, the total weight is not updated, but if you throw this bottle away, then the weight that was not added earlier will be subtracted from the total weight. Going into minus
• The start menu showed that this was a demo version
• When taking an arrow out of the quiver and then returning it back after aiming. The weight will not be updated, but when throwing out items, the unaccounted weight will be subtracted from the total. Going into minus

Infinite Wood Exploit:
Place a split log into the Robo Rab-Bit, it will turn into a log. Remove the log and cut it into split logs. Repeat.

Also, placing a slave corpse into the Rab-Bit will turn it into a log.

No wiki that I know of. The best way to get information is to watch other people play the game. There are several youtubers that make videos and stream the game and that is where I learned a lot. FeatheredRogue and Sergeant Kelvin both have loads of content about the game and you can learn a lot watching their videos.

For iron bars you will need to first get clay and study it (brownish rocks). Then you need 15 clay, 8 long branches, 2 slaves (headless, attach severed head), 2 blacksmith furs (billows, can be crafted at workbench, or found). Feed the thing metal + clay and it spits out an item, that you break open, to get the bar from.

It is a bit of a process.

Step 1: Study Clay
- Clay is in the boulders around rivers and ponds.
- Studying the clay will let you learn the forge setup
- You will need 60 clay to build your setup, plus extras for crafting.
- Build the Bake and Horne Smelter.


Step 2: Build the forge and Making Iron
- Start with the "Bake" and collect Coal and Ash from it.
- Horne Smelter needs 2 of the headless guys. Shoot them and drag them back to base. Also, need 2 Blacksmith furs (Bellows) made in the crafting table.
- At crafting table make some "Simple Form" with clay and ash. This is the cast used to make the bars
- Add the Simple Form and any metal (Cans, Coins, or Ore) to the Horne Smelter. It takes 5 coals to fuel.
- When finished, the Smelter will spit out (looks like it is pooping) an Iron Form. Break it open and get 2 Iron Bars
- Once you get 5 bars, you can make the Smithy (Forge)

Also for the yellow robot, it seems there are many parts i need, i found some items for the generator and the BOT, but im still missing a lot of items and ive been through a lot of the map.. do you know where i can fino them?

And lastly where can j find the saw? Or do i need to make it? Thanks a lot

Well mill will provide electricity. There are 3 kind of ''torches'' first one with only skull. It need Plant fibers for the fuel. Second is a stick on a skull. It just a bridge for the cables. And the third skull with a lightbulb on it. U take electrical wiring left click and use. Then right click mill and connect with lightbulb with right click. Cable may break if u move too far from starting point. Yellow robot need Solar Battery to work. U can craft it in Smithy. Most of its part cant usable ı guess. And lastly u cant find saw. U craft it with smithy. Good luck.

The windmill produces power. Right-click a wire in your inventory and select "USE". Then click on the mill and the item to power.
Items to Power:
- Motorized lumber saw. (Parts made in Smithy)
- The Skull on a stick. Used as a relay to extend the wire. (Named lamp but has no bulb)
- Searchlight. Skull with bulb is your light. (The first skull on a stick burns plant fiber instead of power)

Robo Rab-Bit: Build the Sola Brattery in the Smithy. Once powered up, press "O" to give orders.

Hacksaw is made in the Smithy, but make the motor one. It is easier to use. Think you make the round saw blade in the smithy to study for the plans.
