What I meant is that the game, using time travel glitch, took us back 8 years before the first game, so everything that happened in the first game is erased. That's why the game is AFTER the first game
Maybe I'm too dumb to understand the idea, but I'm honestly trying to figure it out. If all the events of the first game are erased and it has no effect on the second game, then the first game is essentially unnecessary. What's the point of making a sequel (or prequel, I still don't get it)? It's like if Jackson's Hobbit undid the events of LOTR.

Dev should've either started with fresh characters or atleast could've added avoidable ntr like the original game.
Now he's going to lose patreons/players from both the sides.
It definitely feels like the dev made the worst possible choice. By using the same characters as first game a lot of harem players won't like it. By not having NTR a number of fans and supporters of the first game won't like it.

This will cause a number of fans and supporters of the first game feel like they wasted their time playing the first game.

Because it's the same universe and as a writer I can understand wanting to explore your universe more than once and creating new stories, not necessarily related nor consistent.
But I can honestly understand how dumb it may sound to erase your previous work. Still, as I didn't experience it, it has no effect on how I perceive it.
And since the previous game seems to be NTR-oriented I guess most harem players didn't play it anyway so who cares what happens in a future that I know nothing about that has been erased anyway.

I'm just going to seperate one game from another in my mind which is easy because I'm not a fan of NTR so i didn't play the other one. As long as there are no links to the other game and they dont bring up the events that happened in that game I don't see a problem. It's basically a brand new game. However, it's hard to trust some devs when they have been working on NTR games to understand what it means to make a Harem game without NTR. As long as the MC isnt a wimp, the girls aren't talking about how they were spread eagle for another guy in the past, and there arent scenes of other dudes having sex, then it deserves a chance. I'll check it out once the sex tag is in, whatever update that will be. Good Luck dev.

So, this is a harem game? That's going to be interesting, since it is unlikely to be the typical harem.

It appears that Aiden will be travelling in three different timelines (past, present and future), doing his tasks. I assume he will be romancing females in all three of those timelines. That pretty much precludes them all getting together in one bed. :ROFLMAO: It also precludes a third of them even knowing about the other two-thirds. I guess that lowers the possibilities of jealousies.

I have to say that the logic behind the premise of this game escapes me. I can see many posters poking holes in the plot, or at least attempting to do so. Me... I'll just go with the flow to see how it plays out... and for the sex, of course.

Oh by the way, is there any way we can lose Red during one of the time jumps. He is one of the most annoying characters I have ever encountered in any AVN. If Aiden wasn't nutso to begin with (a strong possibility), he soon will be if Red continues to plague him. :ROFLMAO:

...that timeline is erased anyway.
Just my two cents as someone who was watching the conversation in the thread it seems like this is the way you should talk about it. Focus on this, the events of that timeline were erased, they never happened, and never will, and the events in the 8 years between the start of this game the start of that one will change the character so that, while they share a name and a likeness, they will be totally different people who wouldn't ever make the choices that in that timeline caused the option for NTR in the first place.

And just as an aside, and speaking for myself and some others, the reason it bothers some people even if it was optional is because it speaks to those characters that were involved. If I may give an example, I'll do it in a spoiler tab so as not to bog down the thread and in case you'd rather not read it, but it'll be there if you do:

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Anyway, all that to say, I do think that the "old game's timeline is erased and has nothing to do with this one and couldn't ever happen as it did in the first game," is the only real tactic to take. And even talking about the old game being "optional," only adds to confusion since saying "it is optional," implies that the old future could still be possible. Which, in my opinion, if you want any hope of attracting harem fans it needs to be made clear that the old future is not possible at all, not just optional and things could still end up there.

That timeline is erased before the game start. Everthing in the first game is optional anyway, so even if you choose that path, path that will be erased anyway, don't blame the game, blame yourself why you choose the path that you don't like. Even if you choose that path, that timeline is erased anyway.
interesting concept, thanks for explaining

That example you give reminds me a lot of a game with that fetish called Bones Tales. When I played it, it started off relatively well, but then they introduced that Bestiality garbage and it ruined it.

If anyone is wondering, I just finished the first game basically every interaction and sex scene is actually optional, hell even Maive sleeping with her husband is optional, like it doesn't happen in the story I turned her into a nun by the end of the game :KEK: :KEK:

What makes me laugh the most is that it took a black hole that swallowed the universe, time travel, and a completely erased timeline to eliminate Derek/Jeremy and make the Patreon site stop crying and complaining about them.
( humorous tone )

The worst thing is that his story with Maevi never ended, and I'll never know how it would continue after the scene in the university showers.

They were the main reason for supporting the first game and it was a hard blow to know that the developer decided not to give it a chance in the new game.

My mother also died a month ago, so, my luck was terrible this year.

JoeTheMC84 said it pretty well and more eloquente then I, but optional mostly means shit.

I stopped playing female MC games long ago because they pretty much all boil down to be the biggest slut you can be and the Tags alone tell us all we need to know about her character.

so even if the first game got erased, we tinker with time, so there is absolutely nothing stopping them from getting back to their ways as it was in the "erased" timeline.

setting the game in the same universe using the same characters for an audience that's completely opposite of the one for the first game, is what we call an unforced error

Storyline remains garbage, and the male protagonist that everyone was crying out for is a contemptible mix of daddy issues and black-and-white thinking. I will keep right on following this, but the scumbag author is never getting another dime of my money.

Who cares that your harem will cuck you after the game ends? Seems like an exercise in futility to play the game for that outcome.
