There is a limit to them, but as a rule you want to make sure you stock up on consumables and level where you can.

Not exactly the most helpful advice as that's just basic rpg knowledge. I didn't expect an impenetrable wall when I only have access to maybe 5 buildings and one does nothing. If I'm being honest this game does a shit job at explaining anything necessary.
I changed it to
init 999 python:
c_debug = True
config.console = True
config.developer = True
and indeed c_debug was False in the variable list (Shift-D), so open the console (Shift-O) and put c_debug = True
I remember the game becoming buggy when you gain access to the map and other cities. Was is fixed?

You need a spell, forget from where, without it's difficult. The blade hits an entire line or x3, unclear if you got it from the new town, that their encounter opens, or prior, wizard blade, in which case, headbutt stun is okay as well. It eats them up, you'll lose some companions and then it ends. Going through the forest is harder. level should be about 25 each before attempting it.

No just in the zz_cheat_activator.rpy file that was mentioned as the original cheat approach. Or any rpy file and put it in the game folder will work.
Once you own the brother, talk to Camilla. a new room opens, and you can enter it throughh the door in the bckground

When I go the link it just brings up the "
init 999 python:
c_debug = True"
There is no download to the file. I am new to this. I could just be over looking something

Don't left click... use right click and "save as"
or copy past the code into any textfile and save it as .rpy
might need to use the same file name as the game likely is set up to search for that one file

What version of the game is this on the main page? Why are the bakery scenes locked? The previous version had them? I am downloading the above link. The main page had a mac version in one of the shares pixeldrain, I download the mixdrop and it's missing the bakery content. It says it's 4.3a in the files. My previous version 3.4 had the bakery content. I restarted my game. Downloading the above link.
It says "Free" on the update so, that's why, last time someone dropped the Steam version (and before that someone dropped the patreon version)
Do I have to load a save? Or is there some way to continue this quest? I have a save before I finished taking the forest but after I took the shopping route

Well, thats what happens when a developer decides to "remake" a game rather than "Complete" the game.
It was incorrect. The link a few comments back works perfectly, Unlike the links on the main page which saw different versions. It wasn't only missing the bakery either, it was missing the Blackhills deaths. Every time she, sorry name is hard to spell, kills a lord it had a scene, it was missing it. I was unclear what version it is.
The version posted a few comments back is correct
