Disgaea begs to be a hentai game. I literally bought the first game when it released cause Etna was so sexy. And the gameplay would be perfect for a porn game. With rewards on chapters, transfig, and even item world completions. The game even gives its own sexy pop ups on map completion and it wouldn't be hard to alter what it already has to throw in the (far too little) disgaea based porn that is already out there.

I will never understand why a western publisher would choose to localize the all ages-version over the original(specific cases of well known properties aside).
The VN market already is incredibly small over here,do they REALLY think they will sell more with less content?

Going by VNDB the chinese 18+ version is actually free.

The stated reason behind the all ages only version is that they could acquire the license for the 18+ voices, which means no voiced h-scenes. They could've just as easily kept the console voices and kept the h-scenes but they decided to not pursue this route, most likely because Fruitbat doesn't do 18+ releases. The only time one of their products got an 18+ release was Eiyuu Senki by Jast. So I never expected there to be an 18+ version. Sadly the odds of us ever getting a patch is slim, although it's entirely possible someone might extract the text and inject it into the Japanese version while possible is unlikely to happen. Just give it up, or wait forever.

Well yes,as Fruitbasket is known for,my question being why they even pick up such a property if there are more than enough All-ages only ones or at least somewhat decently known ones.
Its not like Harukaze has a huge backlog they might want to get their gruffy mitts on.

Well, people have already started to port the translation to the original Japanese version and there is also already a volunteer for the translation of the H-scenes. So give it a few months...

So apparently there is a project going on right now that will be restoring both the first game and the sequel (at least they have planned doing the sequel as well) and possibly later fixing the original translation of the games. And that patch will be for the censored Steam release and not the original Japanese version. So far only 8% of the H-scenes have been translated.

Any chance someone can patch this so the "sexual content" returns. I understand that its still in the game but can't be accessed and its not translated either.
