Yes... and even if you said the dev left after the disappointment of this promise, there would be some dignity, but no... according to Patreon, he's now moving on to another project. It remains to be seen if it was just the code issue that prevented him from finishing a project or if we really have another story for the collection of a dev who sells smoke.
boy another hopelessness promise, i dont like where a dev makes a game and then suddenly abandon and shift towards new project and he will make an excuse because of "burnout" issue.

he could have said straight for being honest that he could no longer working his abandon project.

and remember devs do have credibility and accountability to customers/playerbase, since he broke that rule he is a very hard to trust him again.

This was a lie. It's made with nw.js. I have decompiled it, but I can't make sense of the mumble jumbo code.
thats the last thing i heard from the dev asking about where the game engine is made from

plus JSON scripts can be also applied to unity engine btw.

Pretty sure it's nw.js, you may have misunderstood the dev or something because it has no data folder, no UnityCrashHandler, no Unity.dll or Mono.dll etc commonly found in the game folder of Unity engine games

It isn't using one, nw.js is a way to create desktop apps using web technologies, whereas a game engine is a specialized tool for building games
your telling me that the game was made from web page app? .....then how did he publish the game on steam without prompting our default browser then?
