Usually, it means the files are corrupted. Redownloading usually works. But if you have internet issues during download, the files might get corrupted again.

Your romance options are a female, a man turned into a woman, and a trans man. Past that, you can certainly only hire female followers; some battles may turn them into men but no story events that I know of. The game starts with you in a lesbian relationship.
from what i have played its still basically poof tf by far my least favorite style the first was good with longer drawn out tfs sigh if only more games could be as good about tf as CT

Not sure if I did anything wrong but was playing on the easiest difficultly did the Elf maid mansion mission. It was my MC and my companion vs the boss and with a 4 level difference I couldn't even hit him once on the easiest diffculty so I just said this game isn't for me and deleted it. Maybe you need to weaken him maybe I needed to be a higher level but the fact I repeatedly missed him just made me quit the game.
You're kind of expected to have abit of a crew going before tackling a quest of this size, since much of the game is about is centered around using your amassed squad to fight enemy squads rather than tackling it solo. Granted 4 level difference does not help either, as every level difference can be HUGE in terms of stat difference.

sounds to me like you went in with just you and willow? if thats the case you're overlooking the entire 12 extra expendables you can lug around via the follower mechanic. if you ever try the game again, run to the tavern and hunt for some extra hands. four levels is a noticable gulf too, you'll want some more before doing the maid manor quest
There's also the mermaid quest that will fill up your ranks quickly too without costing you anything.
Is there any way to customize follower aesthetics (skin color, hair color, etc) without save game editing?

I am aware of that and you do know if you bring more party members they can turn on you then you have to fight the boss plus former party members. Also if my highest level characters can't even hit the boss at a 4 level difference how would bringing more weaker party members help? I do appreciate the advice but I don't think it will help unless surrounding the boss gives you a hit bonus or something? The main problem I had was he dodged every single attack I couldn't get a single hit in.
Just do some other quests first; like the fawn, the corrupted fairy, and the mermaid ones.
And it's not a big deal since turned party members can be made soft-immune with quest-specific potions, and those turned during battle won't matter much when you have an army ready to sock him.
