What has been the most challenging aspect of it, so far, and also the most rewarding?
The most frustrating thing is the load issues some people seem to have while others (including me) seem perfectly fine.
Right behind that is the walk through mod - I still feel that if people feel like they need that then I haven't entirely achieved what I set out to do. I never intended that the internal variables, stats, etc, would be available to players, or that there should usually be a right/wrong or good/bad answer to any given choice.
The things that are hard for me are firstly just the lack of enough time to do everything I want, then animation, the learning curve of ren'y and python, render times, and not letting some of the critics get under my skin.
The best things are the response from people who DO like the game, and how Mallory (who started out as a joke) and Lois (who was basically intended as a bit part) have developed and I suppose that the game has mostly gotten better as it's gone along.
Eventually (maybe at the end of week eight) I will "finish" the game and begin a new one that continues on. That would give me the chance to fix some of the underlying issues that I've had to kind of patch up as the game has developed.
In an ideal world, I would also do this game over (especially the beginning) to better incorporate some of the things that got added later and maybe rejig some of the early graphics, etc.
Maybe we should have a contest for a better name for part two or whatever.
