Ren'Py - The Shadow over Blackmore [v0.3.5] [Darktoz]

The game is still new so I'm not sure what it will become after many updates, but for now I really like it. Definitely the highest quality Darktoz game. I don't like some of the women with weird body proportions like gigantic boobs etc. , but who cares? even at its early stage there is something for everyone in this game. I also love the fact that it seems like you will have to take sides and choose which character you want to support/serve which is definitely what I want from a game like this. I really can't wait for new updates!

Probably the best femdom game I've played. The art is really good, from the characters, to the setting and even the GUI, all very high quality! I still don't really understand the story of the game and I think that might be intentional for now since it only covers a single day, but it seems very interesting with lots of different plot lines to come in the future.

The customisation of the kinks is something I really appreciated, and listing each character's kinks on the map was a nice touch. Hopefully you can choose to interact with some and not with others to align with your own preferences. The gameplay does seem a bit linear so far, but I think that's perfectly acceptable given that what has been released so far seems like the introduction to the game.

Overall I really enjoyed this game and looking forward to what else is to come. Hopefully the updates come in big chunks rather than drip feeding new content, just a personal preference.

The sexual preference system at the start is awesome, allows you to make very clear what you like and how much you like on the game, so you dont need to worry about any of the tags. The story is great and the visuals is one of the best ive ever seen here, and ive played a lot of those games already.

My first assessment on this site . It 's just an incredible game in terms of potential and history . The game captured all my attention . Beautiful renderings different fetishes different cool characters. The potential is huge and definitely deserves support on Patreon.

This is totally fascinating to me and I very much want to see more of where this story goes. It has a lot of potential. The art is descent, there is plenty of kink (not all of it is my kink - eg. feet - and femdomming isn't my biggest thing, but there's enough there that I still enjoy), and most importantly I'm curious. The dialog is kinda meh in some places, with most sex things usually having one dialog things you'd actually click on before 'continue' but.... yea, anyway, looking forward to seeing more of this

Really great way to use gore and other "extrem" fetishes in a way that it doesnt feel ridiculed.

The fantasy setting gives it a believable vibe for that world.
There is no mirroring real life because its not real that makes everything a lot more enjoyable and pleasurable.

The 0.1 is great and i enjoyed it a lot.
The HUD/Ui is something you have to get used to in the first few minutes but it works with the game.
There are a lot of bugs and glitches currently and many ways to get and error or a crash but with time and polish this game can become a true extreme femdom DIK or Fetish ,Locator.

Been a fan of Daktoz games. This game feel like a massive improvement especially rendering wise. The new renders look amazing and clean as compared to darktoz previous games. The game plot is ok for now its full of mysteries lets see where the developer goes from here on out. I hope that the updates will keep on coming.

This is the best game realice/0.1v that i have see in f95.
- Interface is great, the dev put a lot of effort making one of the best UI in porn games.
- Characters are great, there are a lot of diversity and the bodys have the best quality in 3DCG i ever seen (whit Desert Stalker)
- MC is ok, for now lets say he is very quiet
- Plot is really interesting and the development is not rush
- Scenarios are really well done, it helps a lot to the ambientation
- There are few sex scenes but its logical in the 0.1v, and this scenes are really hot, high quality garantinced

I highly recomend play and if its possbile to you support the dev, he is putting a lot of effort in this game. FIVE STARS

If you liked any of this developer's previous games this is a must play. The fact that this games uses Ren'Py instead of what Femdom City Mantis is on is a very big improvement.
One of the things this game excells at is creating a great setting which kept me captivated while waiting for the next scene.
Even though I am not crazy about some of the fetishes involved in this game, the story makes me want to play all of the scenes because sometimes you get more lore by doing that.
Not sure how the NTR will work, hoping it will be with a futa and not a male.
I hope Darktoz focuses more on Shadow over Blackmore rather than Femdom City Mantis for the time being.

The game is made by a well known Dev called Darktoz who has been around for 4-5 years, only making Femdom themed games with optional Futanari content (not allowed to say too much about him because review rules).

Shadow over Blackmore is in an early stage, you can play the first day and two optional encounters. It is very long, the intro takes its time to lay the foundation of the story. I don't want to spoiler too much about the story, but you arrive in a mysterious town where the sun never shines without any memory of how you got there.

I think so far all encounters are optional, but you can choose to make certain content disappear, like human toilet, bisex and ntr.
There is also a Futanari Slider where you can set how much futa content you want to have in the game. It's great, don't think I've seen a slider like that for futanari content before. The more you drag the slider to the right, the bigger the demon cocks that are displayed get . Genius!

The User interface is amazing. If you are a bit older, like me, you will feel reminded of the old times of dungeon crawlers a bit. The music is most likely the best that I have come across so far, the main song is so good that I opened up the menu yesterday just to listen to the song. It also feels good that this game has a lot of sounds both for the sex animations and normal object interactions.

Animations: There are quite a few for a new release already, and they are interactive. You can decide for yourself how long you want to run them and can talk to the mistresses while you are doing them. It's great, but I feel like the dialogue feels a bit rushed sometimes during the sex scenes. Dev is not a native speaker, though. Considering that it is a great job.

Characters: This is subjective. I personally love the Matriarch. Reminds me of lady Dimitrescu. But I've read that some don't like her big boobs (why?), so I don't know what else to tell you without talking about personal preference. Some of the characters are not mainstream at all, like a full tattooed bald headed punk witch with piercings who is one of the first side encounters. I personally didn't like the first Futa encounter in this game, might be the haircut, don't know.

I don't have any real negatives at the moment, aside from some things not being in the game right now. A gallery is missing for example. Right now you cannot learn any skills. the inventory looks a bit empty at the moment. It's 0.1.1, so stuff like this is expected, I guess. But the dev made a similar mistake in a previous game and ended up not adding a gallery at all! So that has to be watched in future updates and darktoz has to be reminded that a gallery where you can revisit unlocked scenes adds real value to the game!

Conclusion:
I think it deserves 5 out of 5. The game does so many things right and is just on a higher level than most of the lewd stuff I play so I cannot give this anything else. I might be biased because I was always a fan of darktoz work (I am a patreon supporter of his) but he really took another step, learned renpy instead of the other stupid engine he was using and used a newer engine for his renders.
The world building is the best so far. Darktoz has always been the best dev at this. Creating an athmosphere that just sucks you into this world of witches, vampires, demons an weird dreams. And full of dominant females.

Absolutely awesome game. If you're into femdom then this is for you.

First thints first, most of the NTR/chastity/futa content is completely optional and some of it is avoidable as a whole if you pick the right choices in the introduction.

I'd say the introduction is a bit lengthy, so this feels more like a demo than anything else, but it's still only 0.1.

Either way, the Images are beautiful, most scenes are well written and I really liked the characters so far, already picked a few favorites even! The idea of having to join factions / groups for safety seems like a very interesting mechanic.

I've played all of Darktoz' games and this is definitely the most promising one thus far! 5/5 for me ~

Very good images, the text (despite a few typos and mistakes here and there) complements the mysterious, dark atmosphere quite well, and everything piques the imagination. The GUI is easy to use and quite rewarding, and the many choices (which apparently have to do with how much you want to please a certain woman, or whether or not you're the curious type who wants more information) increase the immersion experience when compared to, say, Femdom City. The author (the famous darktoz) says he considers this his best work so far, and I can certainly see why. There is so much care and effort in all the details, this is obviously a work of love. I am really impressed.

A game still in its beginning, but already with so much to offer and so very promisin. I will definitely keep an eye on it. Well done!

If Femdom is for you, this game is a must. But if you are into femdom games, you know this already, since it is darktoz, the skeleton king, who is the dev!
