Yeah. I liked the original for the scenes and a lot of the potential it had with the characters, but a lot of the story elements seemed to get jumbled up, and the girls paths seemed to get mixed up and jump parts. Not tried the new version yet, but have hope it hits the potential i saw the previous game having.
It's different that's for sure, so if you liked the previous, this one this may not fit your expectations. It's still lacking in certain aspects and (as I mentioned before) it became kinda...like slow burn? There's not much scenes yet. Although plot was changed too and it's more logical and better/easier to follow.

The original story was like freshly baked cakes filled with every hallucinogenic available to man (yes it was bad) but the characters and personalities were great, the story was the only letdown, but I tried the remake, and I don't like the way the characters have been remade, the story doesn't grab me either, the relationships between the characters feel bland and empty at the moment, I think I'll wait a while and see if this actually improves or if it's destined for the bargain bin.

While I do love a good redhead character, you cannot simply go from purple hair to red hair like that, she looked much better with purple hair honestly, with the red hair and the lack of a 'cute' face she looks off. Let's hope everything else is better to balance the undesirable designs of the characters that have 'disappointed' a lot of players.

Also note, you may wish to update the images on the main screen to give players a 'proper' look at what the new ''remake'' is offering, as at the moment it shows only purple-haired Melissa, which if your intent is to have people play the newer version having updated images to let people know what to expect might be a good idea, otherwise it could create some tension as people may feel they are being misled by a lack of information surrounding the most current version, just thought I should mention this in case it proves helpful

Here's hoping this is the last rework, remaster, rewrite for the game as restarting is getting ridiculous. Unsure how I feel about the storyline changes thus far as there isn't much of the new one to judge by; maybe it'll be as off the wall as previous and I hope to see the characters from the previous story integrated into this one. The only clear win for this version is the addition of Aeris as she's probably my new favorite girl, replacing Aiko (pre-pizza girl introduction), and doesn't have the absurd, imo, proportions of Alice and Leliana.

Dont know what is the general opinion of this remake, but i dont like it at all; writing seems way dumber and the renders dont look that good, plenty of weird angles and shadows on the women. Original release was pretty good, imo this remake is just wasted time for the dev.

people with dumb opinions should be banned from the internet, yet it seems we're both destined to be disappointed.
I actually agree with him. I'm so fucking tired of half the devs here rebooting their game mid-development. Have none of these fuckers ever prepared a rough draft before starting development? It's the most basic writing advice ever.
I have far more respect for devs that actually finish their mediocre games (note: "finish", not just end) than devs rebooting their games every ten minutes hoping to capture perfection. Because, newsflash, them games will probably end up with mediocre finishes anyway.

But they never get finished, do they? The dev imagines some slight with their games; it agitates them (also probably because the middle of any project is the hardest to keep author interest going after the initial excitement is gone), something that clearly didn't agitate their audience because the project is relatively successful, then they stop any and all momentum their game got going to reboot. Probably gaining very little extra audience in the meantime while the original audience waits hands clasped for several years just to get to the same fucking point the author left it on by which time 99/100 of these devs abandon the project.

It's all so tiring.

and by his opinion and if that was really the case, all the devs would do precisely that; They would end a project abruptly to dodge a ban. Passion burns out, people lose interest, stories don't click the way you imagined them (although I do agree, you should bare minimum understand how your story is going to flow before you start your programming stage), etc. there is a multitude of things that can happen, but "one strike, you're out" turns into harboring bad practices. If you give zero flexibility, then it leaves people to do usually the most drastic and bad way of dealing with something.

People still crying about the remake? No one is forcing you to play or support any of these games. Lets be real most of us are playing these games for free anyway. Just enjoy your free game. I get it if you're a supporter, but if you're not just stop spamming the thread.

Fair enough, I don't agree with the one strike rule but I'm getting very annoyed with the rampant rebooting of projects. It's probably worse than just abandoning it, IMO, because I've yet to see any of these reboots catch up and surpass the original. Maybe somewhere I missed a couple (I don't play everything after all) but all of the ones I did see have either: a) yet to catch up or b) gotten abandoned. So in the end I rather they just abandon it so we can all move along rather than they string you along for a while longer keeping you vaguely hopeful this'll finally be the one to buck the trend. It's just shitty behaviour if you do that.

I'll happily eat my words if it turns out I'm wrong but I fear I won't be.

Dude, its a discussion thread about the game with people discussing the game. If you feel its inappropriate, get a mod here to nuke it. If anyone is going off topic, its you who is complaining about discussions on a FORUM.
