fitgirl usually doesn't update i do know codex has patch updates got my current version from codexWe're on patch 80 (1.51.77.1020 ), so if you're on 1.46.18.1020 (patch 72) you need to install the all stuff thats missing in between, in order.
This week we're due for a new patch+new game pack, so either install the ones you're missing or get the full thing from CODEX or FitGirl (she's currently on patch 78 I believe, still not up to date) or wait until Friday and see if CODEX will release the full game.
Hope this makes sense.
google skidrow sims 4. Just get their latest one with all DLC. you don't have to dl any patches I think. make sure it's 1.51.77:1020Im just asking to make sure so i dont fuck something up. If i got Seasons version 1 46 48 and i want to get the game back up to date do i just need to get the strangerville stuff? Or will i have to get all the get famous updates as well. Or would it just be easier for me to get the 30gig famous DL and clean reinstall from there.
That's what happens to me to all the time... everytime I start the game or travel with my sims or when I switch households it resets all my settings.Do you have "always accept" on in the settings? If so, then its possible its the attraction/preference system. I just played after a long break and couldn't figure out why I couldn't flirt with my potential sugar daddy. Come to find out WW coded my sim as a lesbian.
Never care for CNWW, not my thing at all. asking for a silly friend ;/I think CNWW is not very welcome here due to his work that involves subjects beyond the pale for many of the people here...
Mind you this is based on what little I know.
I actually know all of that already for many many years. I'm talking about under saves, there's "Whicked Whims Mod" "Wicked Perversions mod" and "serial GUD" I already have Wicked Whims being imported all the time because it resets even when I don't update it. I'm just getting errors for the .py files and I'm trying to remember where they are and if I should delete all of them. I will remove all mods then update and put all the updated back in but I need to know if I should be deleting these saves like the .json files under the first folder, the .json and .pkl in the second folder and I can't remember where the .py files are and since there so many errors should I delete them since they have nothing to do with the scripts in mods. When I find the py files do I delete them all or are those holding important information? To save the settings for WickedWhims, you go to the WW-->Settings from the pie menu, on the first menu is the option "Settings Import/Export". If you select this option, there will be a screen that allows you to export your settings. Select this, give the settings a name and a settings file will be generated. This is usually saved in the directory:
You can save off those files to someplace safe if you're worried that you'll lose those.Code:<path_to>\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\WickedWhimsSettings
With the upcoming release of a new TS4 pack and the obligatory update that will come with it; you're going to find that a lot of things are going to break soon. If you haven't given your Mods folder a good scrub down and reorganized things to make more sense, it's only going to make finding the offending files that much harder.
If I were you, I'd start with a basic setup that looks something like the following:
... and then have a separate folder for each game play addon (like WickedWhims, Wicked Perversions, AEP, Basemental Drugs, MCCC, etc.) so that it'd look something like:Code:<path_to>\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\Animations <path_to>\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\Build <path_to>\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\CAS <path_to>\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\New CC <path_to>\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\Utilities
Having the folder organized like this makes it easier to find what you're looking for and, if you ever need to do a 50/50 to find a broken mod, you can just remove a folder one at a time until you find the category of mods that are affecting your game.Code:<path_to>\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\<gameplay_addon>\*.package <path_to>\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\<gameplay_addon>\*.ts4script
A little bit of preparation will make things easier for you overall when patch days occur.

Whicked Whims just says to change the files under mods, like usual but since EA messed the game up so much, I want to make sure to get rid of everything not needed until a fresh copy of the scripts are installed (but keeping the exported settings) So what I'm asking about is, what about the files outside the mod folder?
Sorry I don't reply so sooner, my post get buried then I can't find them.
After rereading your original post here's my opinion with the assumption that you're trying to do a clean reinstall (not authoritative in any way): The files that are outside of the mods folder--specifically those in the Saves folder--do not affect the global game state of WW/CNWW (or even the base game itself); meaning the files in the Saves folder are specific to the games that you have saved.can somebody tell me when updating WW and NWW what I do to the files under Save and still keep the settings?
BY chance did you have a sim that became famous and you didn't want them to so you chose to keep them out of the spotlight? Apparently that is causing a ton of lastexception errors. On the board I read about it nobody has a solution yet.Weird, the last version of WW creates an insanely high amount of errors (you know the orange error screens on the top right part of the screen) and nothing works anymore
Good thing I made a backup, but I will keep looking what I did wrong.
Also, a huge thank you to all people that share those mods here
Can you send a print of it? Cauze I already watched there and didn't see the option, could be that I am using a wrong version?yes, it's an option in MC Commander. Just right click on a computer then on MC commander, and you will find the full settings menu there.
Thank you for your help. The .py files are... I have no idea where they are. That's what I mean. I've come across them several times and they are always the base of an error so I was wondering if anyone knew what folder those are in and if it's okay to delete them and regenerate. After rereading your original post here's my opinion with the assumption that you're trying to do a clean reinstall (not authoritative in any way): The files that are outside of the mods folder--specifically those in the Saves folder--do not affect the global game state of WW/CNWW (or even the base game itself); meaning the files in the Saves folder are specific to the games that you have saved.
My experience with this is that I've transferred a fully functional Windows setup into a Linux WINE setup by just including the mods folder and excluding the Saves and Tray folders. The game functioned as expected after I imported my saved WW settings.
This is good if you want to do a clean install, but don't want to have to re-download and/or drag and drop everything back into the mods folder again. This would be the same as deleting your Tray and Saves folder and letting TS4 regenerate those folders the next time you launch the game.
As for WP, I think Nisa doesn't have that setup on a global basis--you'll need to configure those settings for each game you play (the same goes for Basemental Drugs and likely for the addon Basemental Gangs). I think the reason it's setup this way is because, unless you're always using the Townies for certain NPCs or a saved game instance with your entire map pre-configured, every game experience is going to be pseudo-unique. I can't say with any certainty that you can save those settings UNLESS you create a template save game and then back up those files.
The template save game approach is that you load that game that serves as your template, create a sim or import a sim from your gallery to move into the pre-configured world. Once they've moved in, save the game as a new file and then play normally.
As for finding the python files ... you really shouldn't have any loose .py files in your Mods folder. TS4 only recognizes .package and .ts4script files. If these are files being stored in the Saves folder, I wouldn't be too concerned with them based on what I've previously mentioned.
I hope that helps some?
thank you so much . do i just drop it in my mods or do i have to take out the mods mentionedFor those of you using Ksuihuh's AEP Pornography (and any of the other major mods that add custom venues), I've updated my combined version, which now supports: Zerbu's Go To School and Turbo Careers, itasan2's Get To College, Ksuihuh's AEP Pornography, LittleMsSam's More Buyable Venues and Basemental Gangs.
If you're talking about the .py files that show up in the lastException logs -- those are the .ts4scripts being decompressed in the virtual machine that are only applicable to the TS4 instance. You'll see some funky path like "In file: T:\<something>\scheduler.py" -- those paths don't really exist outside of the TS4 client. Most of the time, you can kind of figure out which mod is throwing the error by looking at the '<something>' portion of the path ... that will generally lead you to which .ts4script (and associated .package files) in your Mods folder that you'll want to delete, replace/update, or ignore depending on the severity of the error.Thank you for your help. So, fair warning about deleting the Tray folder -- this is where all your gallery stuff is locally stored. So things like all your households, lots, rooms, etc ... even the ones you downloaded from other people's share. If you delete that, they will be removed from your game ... and for your households, that can be a permanent change.I'm going to follow your advice and also remove the saves and Tray folders, in addition to the mods. Then update, start new game, play a new household, save, exit, then put everything back deleting what the game just generated or should I keep what the game just generated? That sounds like the cleanest way of doing it.
You'll want to drop DaLemonHead's Venues in the Mods folder--ideally in the root Mods folder so that it loads before the other mods. If you drop all your mods loosely in the Mods folder, you'll either want to rename the Venues List file(s) for the affected mods so that you change the extension (ex. LittleMsSam_MoreBuyableVenuesList.package --> LittleMsSam_MoreBuyableVenuesList.package.disabled) or delete the file(s).thank you so much . do i just drop it in my mods or do i have to take out the mods mentioned
thank you so much also what is a root mods folder ? where can i find it >You'll want to drop DaLemonHead's Venues in the Mods folder--ideally in the root Mods folder so that it loads before the other mods. For AEP, there is no separate Venues List file.
Edit: Generally, you'll want to make sure DaLemonHead's file is the only file that will load.
The root mods folder would look something like the following if you didn't do anything tricky:thank you so much also what is a root mods folder ? where can i find it >
C:\Users\myusernamesux\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods
Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods

Okay, I'll keep the tray and saves where they are. What do you mean by saving in a different world? #6 and on only confuses my blonde head. I cannot lose any sims. They are all part of a storyline in the books I write. Or are you saying go to those lots for my additional world that only has one couple and one house while everything else is blank? I'm so confused now, lol. The locations are also renamed. The normal names of the worlds don't exist but the land does, just empty. If you're talking about the .py files that show up in the lastException logs -- those are the .ts4scripts being decompressed in the virtual machine that are only applicable to the TS4 instance. Please note: Those .py & .pyc files aren't something that you will manually track down and do anything with. You should only concern yourself with the associated .package and .ts4script files of the custom content/gameplay addons in the Mods folder.
So, fair warning about deleting the Tray folder -- this is where all your gallery stuff is locally stored. So things like all your households, lots, rooms, etc ... even the ones you downloaded from other people's share. I was fine with that decision ... as I was looking for an absolutely clean installation. You may have families that you aren't willing to give up on yet, so keep that in mind with the Tray folder.
As far as deleting the Saves and/or Tray folder--you should only need to do it once. Let the game regenerate the necessary files and folders and don't touch them unless you've found definitive proof that your saves are corrupted beyond redemption.
For my templating thing, this is the process I go through ... you can change it up as you see fit. The important part is the goal: Create a Saved Instance that you will use as a base for future games. Meaning, set everything you can once and don't overwrite this file by immediately using the 'Save As' function as soon as you load it up with a new sim.
Here's what I do:
Note: It's really easy to forget that last step and ruin about three to four hours of getting everything just right. If you're lucky and caught your mistake early, you can save the current game as a different file and then attempt to recover the original save on your Template from the Load Game interface.
- Start new game.
- Move in a throwaway sim from my gallery to someplace.
- Start game with sim to configure WW, WP, and BD.
- Save the game using the Save As function.
- Go to Manage Worlds.
- Set up the various lots in different neighborhoods for:
- Go To School
- Get To College
- TurboCareers
- AEP Photoshoot Event
- Save template.
- Add residential and other community lots for flavor.
- Remove Sim from world.
- Save template.
- Exit to main menu.
- Load Game with Template world.
- Move-In or Create a Sim and Move In.
- Save Game As a different world.
