I'm not using URM and do get the same error. Besides that, you disabled auto saves, so I fear that's on you.

To be fair, I've never even used auto saves on any rpy game, but it seems like it works just fine on my game as well. Never ever touched on that in the code.
Make sure your installation is 100% clean, avoid running the game from Program Files or other protected OS directories, and elaborate further on your particular issue. Thanks.
I downloaded it for the first time, extracted it into a own folder and did not add anything. The only save that was made, was at the question if I want to skip the prologue or not.
Avoid saving in this particular screen out of all of them, since the game hasn't properly loaded all data at that point. Loading that will cause problems. Tell me if you still have issues saving/loading after you've began the prologue or gotten to the sandbox.
As I said, that's the only auto save, that the game made itself. I did play for almost an hour and wanted to manually save, which didn't work due to the error. After that I did take a look at the auto saves, because they usally do work just fine, in hope I could use that for the future.

I can't even run the game on Joiplay, even tried it earlier today but no dice, it always crashes. No idea why the cellphone and map bork out like that.

Hey CigarRex, just wanted to let you know of a bug I stumbled upon, I can't provide an error code as it just freezes the game then crashes.
Selecting the Gallery and then either 1) scrolling down too fast or 2) selecting an option on the left crashes and freezes the game. Also, i have not installed any mods or anything - fresh install, even started from the beginning.
