VN - Ren'Py - The Singer [v0.65] [IntensiveCareGames]

It's an ok game but it suffers from a few issues that stop it from really being anything more.

The premise is interesting, couple are together, the lassie is a singer. Gets a job with an Epstein wannabe and away we go but the game suffers from issues related to the plot.

The game makes a big point of stating that it contains NTR and it's unavoidable. That's fine and all (I mean shit, the lad in OP griding up against your girlfriend ain't you pal) but the plot makes it all feel a bit meh.

So you and Ria are in a relationship but you've only been together for a month so there is like..... no stakes here. If you're with someone for a month and either of you starts to get thoughts about someone else you'd just break it off. Sorry I'm just not feeling it. Done. So the game suddenly becomes less about NTR and more about a couple who obviously don't want to be together.... but can't be bothered to break up.

The game gets bonus points for allowing both parties to stray and it's not simply a cuck simulator but in all honesty the MC is a complete wet blanket. He's got some issues up stairs and you spend half the game not only getting why Ria would go down the route she is, but at times you actively support it simply because you think she can do better. The MC is helluva jealous, dictating what Ria can and can't wear and that's such a red flag. If you were in a relationship for a month and the dude starts to dictate that sort of thing you'd yeet his ass to the curb.

So the game suffers from a MC who's not fun and a NTR premise that doesn't make sense because the relationship is hollow. Like... funnily enough by giving the MC something to do while the girlfriend is away diddling it takes any heat out of the NTR because it's less a spouse being cucked and more two people just doing their own things.

This is probably one of the games that has best managed to implement the "unfaithful couple" dynamic, let me explain, it is not a cuckfest as such, although it is true that the female MC has sex with every man she encounters, the male MC He also does it with every woman he meets, both have options to cheat or not and the content is quite balanced, also it does not focus on the male MC spying and getting excited when he sees his girl with another, but rather on the fact that both of them cheat on each other. each other's backs.

If you don't mind the girl's deceit and corruption, but you don't like a weak, pathetic, and cuckolded MC, then you'll probably like this game.

This is a game where you shouldn't think too much. It isn't deep.

And I have to say, some of the face f*cking anims are pretty good.

The dialogue is a bit Engrish-like.

The MC shags different chicks, the girlfriend shags different guys. They both know each other cheat (or suspect, or at least know either one is lying) but are madly in love with each other despite being together for a month prior to the start of the 'story'.

Like I say, not deep. Porn logic all the way. Porn dicks. But, the chicks are generally pretty good to look at. Be nice if the H-scenes where a bit longer, though.

There are corruption points, but really, you the player have the choice whether the girlfriend acts a 304 or not. This is not corruption.

So, if you like having your MC and partner shag everything that moves, regardless of relationship status, then this maybe for you.

Fun, fappable and shallow.

IMO this could have been at least a 4 star game. It has decent renders the women are pretty hot and the animations aren't to bad. But that's it. Starts out with your GF trying to make it big and while getting there she runs into temptations. But then it goes downhill from there she just becomes a slut and it becomes an all out fuck fest the story disappears about half way through. To me the Dev is shooting his self in the foot by not making the NTR avoidable and here's why. If it can't be avoided then this becomes a Kinetic novel. There's no fight to keep your woman. At the end of the story you already know you lose her. And even if the Dev put's a twist at the end and they stay together. Who would want her after she's pretty much turned into a whore? To me it takes more than decent renders and animations to make a good VN. Even if i liked NTR i wouldn't like this. If your here to just fap then this is for you but if you come here for a story then you will be disappointed.

I am enjoying this game a lot. The girls are hot and there are multiple paths to choose from. I like games where the FMC's moral are questionable because then there are a lot of sex scenes. Writing and proofing can improve but it's a porn game and it fun and light hearted.

Game contain different fetishes, players who like those fetishes will love this game and peoples who don't like these fetish will give 1 star to this game! specially NTR-Haters

Its really more of a 3* game, but I'm convinced many have voted this down because of the NTR. Yes there's NTR. Its the focus of the game. I have no idea why people play a game with NTR in the tags if they hate it so, and then vote down a game for having NTR. Just makes no sense. But on to the review - The girls are gorgeous. They really are. Beautiful girls. And are pretty sharply rendered. Everything is nice an clear.

There's apparently a sub cuck type of path, but that has no appeal to me, so no idea if its well done. Didn't play it. I played the more cheating path where both main characters cheat on each other. There is also a semi-faithful path that seems out of place. I'll give that a go at some point, but I understand there is NTR in that path too.

The animations are... well they exist, but don't add anything. Not great. The story is fine, and makes sense for an NTR type of game. The story progression makes sense. The writing though... whew. There are parts that have been proofed. There are other parts that appear to have been google translated. There's no problem following whats going on, but its rough in parts. Real rough. Sound exists, but I turned it off for the most part and listen to my music, so dunno how good it is.

This could be so very much better with a good proofreader. Beyond that, the girls are gorgeous. There are plentiful lewds with a pretty good variety. If you are into watching cute girls take dicks not the MCs, this game will do it for ya. If you hate NTR, don't play it. If you do, don't complain about it.

One of the better games that I have played. Story is quite good, even though sometimes the characters make unjustifiable decisions, which breaks their character and just feels alien, but the renders and animations are really good! There is variety of characters, different perspectives, but not a lot of control and branching how the game could have different paths to take, as most decisions acts like a switch if you will one or the other scene, but the progression will always be the same. With some work I think this game could become excellent.

First and foremost this is a porn game. Forget about long ass talks about fee fees. Also don't expect years of slow burn nonsense to kiss your love interest. Perfect game if you don't want to waste time reading about angsty teenagers or the such.
You take control of a young couple trying to make their relationship work while the girl tries to become a singer. Temptation is everywhere and many hot scenes and corruption are waiting you.

I'm pretty satisfied with how this project has been developed: the quality is there, both in the graphic compartment (renders, animations) and in the way characters, plot, choices&consequences are designed.
More than that, we have a developer that little by little is bringing the game forward constantly, and I don't mean in terms of content but also quality. Good job.

This game isn't bad but it isn't good either, and it is deceptive. It has good looking characters but the story is all over the place. It is like a bunch of short stories pieced together which seem to correlate to the updates, as if the developer has a complete brain reset after each update. As for the deception, this game gives you the impression that you are making choices. You are, but they only matter in the smallest degree. So the deception here is that they have created a kinetic novel with a few choices sprinkled in that may add or remove an image or two immediately after the choice, but it doesn't change anything meaningful. You will be forced into things you want to avoid. I'm not talking about the NTR here. Being forced into those situations in a blatant NTR is fine. It's the narrow story that is the problem.

I don't get why there're such low ratings. Probably the developer got in a common trap when trying to combine NTR with non-NTR. Usually that just doesn't work well. Often it's the Non-NTR users who get bored (with lack or "secondary" content) or annoyed (coz they still stumble on NTR).

Since I went corruption/NTR path I can say - that's pretty good NTR game. Models are nice. Characters behave believable (well, "believable for a porn game" that is ). Plus it has a strong "male domination" aspect and gives MC enough action whatever path you chose, so you are not just a weak winy cuckold as is often the case.

Definitely recommend for those who are into MaleDom and NTR. As for "true love" path... well, I have NO IDEA what you can get there and doubt it would be of much interest.

If this game was only ~8 months old, I'd rate higher, but frankly its too short and too simplistic - minimal background variables for a 2 year development.

As others have stated, there's a shortage of choices on the part of the MC - almost like the LI gets more choices about what she does with people - and the MCs choices dont REALLY matter - yes they do as some pointed out, but trust me, ive played 4-5 routes tonight and you can have 0 corrup ria and 0 corrup mc and she still sucks off the record exec at end.

Art is pretty good, most animations are quite good.

I didnt get as hung up on the dialogue as others - there are many spelling errors, but the overall "feel/culture" of the dialogue is more or less on, as opposed to many games with immaculate grammar that still feel like you're watcing a dubbed anime ("teee heee hee you're soooo lewd!!")

Seeing others mention "oh i didnt play this as an ntr game" - just to clear it up for potential players - this is a cuck- focused game in its current state. Not neccesarily humilation, but definitely cheating-focused for both the MC and LI, and if you dont like those elements, that's fine, but I'd suggest then avoiding.

Could be 4 star if more paths were completed - like the "bad guy" intro manager never actually fucks her wtf? And then a personal pet peeve of mine in ntr-type or cuck games - where there are fantasies imagined - it ruins the whole buildup of actually doing something illicit if you've already seen the sequence beforehand - and there are several of these.

Still, if you find the theme of cheating hot, not the worst game to try.

edit - updated to 4 stars after seeing how thin the pickings this specific category has -i.e. cheating without the usual foulness and humiliation/ other forced genres mixed in like IR or incest, so for what this does, it does well - I can count these on one hand.

This is definitely horrifying.
Story is one of the worst I ever encountered in games. It literally have no sense at all (even by "porn game standards"), characters seems to be schizophrenic - otherwise it is not possible to explain their behaviour and decisions they make. Yes, they, because you, as player, have no decisions at all (except few minor ones, not so significant). You can't choose who you have sex with, you can't reject girls you don't like etc. It's choiceless fuck-fest where player is only a spectator, which is pure horror!!!
Renders are indeed very good, models are mostly nice looking, but it is not enough even to attempt to "nullify" all other dreadful aspects of this game.
If you are satisfied by reading illustrated book and have no problem with fact that you won't be able to reject things and events you don't like, than by all means go for it, but if you're looking for a game where you have freedom of choice than stay away from this.

I Actually love this game. There are some things here and there that make no sense but hey its a porn game which is what I came for and what I got.

Normally in these NTR games you have some crazy hot girl and average joe wimp bitch boy guy who just gets cucked left and right but this game is a bit different. Ria the female protagonist is your typical innocent beauty who wants to become a famous singer. You can guess what happens there. But the male protagonist actually fucks. He's a lazy douche the typical kind that steals the girls in other games .

I don't understand all the negative reviews this games gets story is nothing unique but the scenes are decent and main LI is hot looking forward to the next update.

This game revolves around cheating and corruption. I don't care about NTR so it's not an issue for me and the story I found is rather well thought and believable for a porn game (a bit tropey of course but serviceable: boy gets horny and cheats, girl wants revenge, singer gets taken advantage of to make it in the business, ...).
Although spelling and grammar are not the dev's forte, it doesn't prevent understanding what is going on (should still try to improve though).
The models are pretty good. Both Ria and Lilly are great looking, although at times suffering a bit from a "chibi" syndrome. But not enough to be detracting. Ria's tan lines are the cherry on top.
As for the sex scenes, this is the best part, with a decent amount coming frequently enough. There's even very different scenes for different paths, without having to keep hundreds of saves to play them all. And although some might have preferred full animation, I find them to be long and good enough as they are. They even often have multiple ending options. And the renders are always really good.
So far the scenes have included mostly vanilla sex, one short orgy, and multiple creampies. I don't doubt this will escalate in the future and add more variety (e.g. anal is already hinted as coming next).

Overall, a very enjoyable game.

Alright, I'll be the weirdo who gives this game five stars. I do love it. It's far from perfect, but if you want some good NTR, this should be on your play list.

PROS

* To the person who said your choices don't matter, they absolutely do matter, they just don't pay off immediately. NTR is unavoidable, it literally says that on the first page. The choices are more about how corrupted Ria will become and how far the MC will fall.
* I love the idea behind the game. I love corruption games and the plot for this game does set itself up very nicely for a naive young girl to be corrupted in (it's basically Weinstein-esque only swap the movie biz for the music industry).
* The character models look great (everyone has a big dick, but not obnoxiously huge and the tits look like something a human would actually have).
* The animations are pretty good, some scenes better than others, but they're definitely serviceable.
* The choice based system, as referenced initially. I've played this game in basically every permeation and I still love it. If you corrupt Ria in the right way you can see the path that that's heading towards, the wrong way might take longer to pay off. If you choose the love route you're still headed towards corruption and it's unclear how that will pay off. The bottom line is that Ria will be corrupted, what's uncertain is your part of it. I'm down for both the journey and the destination here.


CONS

* The PC is absolutely railroaded into doing things you may not want them to do. This is in service of the plot, for better or for worse. I appreciate that instead of the dev needing to devote time to managing all of these spiderwebs. There are points where he is like, no, this needs to happen so the rest of the story can happen. I hate it, but I get it at the same time.
* Too much time / animation devoted to people no one should give a fuck about. The bartender scene being the most egregious example.
* While I love the setting, the story is kind of dumb and you need to put your brain on sleep mode to fully enjoy. The MC's girlfriend is a popular singer who's about to sign a significant contract. Her boyfriend barely has a job and cheats on her and she's still like, "You're a douchebag, I'm a slut, we can make it work!" rather than kicking this piece of shit to the curb. They've literally been together a month. For this to really work they should've been together since they were teenagers. This is the biggest issue with the game, for me.
* English isn't the best. It's far from awful, but there are times where you're going to focus on the grammar more than the story, at least if you're not a fucking idiot and an English speaker..

NEUTRAL

*The game makes the most sense if you opt for the love route. Ria will eventually cheat, but it's to further her career which makes more sense than if she's just cheating for revenge (which is the way more fun option).
* The MC is a bit of a Chad. Every girl seemingly wants to fuck him, but at the same time it seems like there's someone who's going to take those girls away, which I actually like, because if I wanted to play as a Chad I wouldn't choose a game with NTR as one of its tags.
* Very little audio, which I don't care about, but is worth mentioning.

SUMMATION

I don't get the poor reviews by anyone who likes NTR. Yes the story (as it pertains to the MC) can be dumb, but this is something we're meant to jerk off to not fucking Manchester by the Sea.

The only reason I did not give it 1 star was only due to the good quality of the sets/characters.
The story was atrocious and as a consequence I could only be bothered to progress as far as the 'real' main character white knighting the MC's girlfriend.
