The beginning of the story is basically completely different from the original.
A shame there is not more to this game. Had a very promising plot, but I think the Dev just wanted to wrap up the game at the end. The scenes and CG's are great though!
Yeah, this is a very good game. The dev had quasi-abandoned it for a while and even mentioned they were surprised people liked it and then came back to finish it off. So, I think you're right there was probably something more here at some point, but the dev seems more focused on their Naruto game (which I'd recommend as well, it's a little grindy, but I don't know shit about Naruto and still enjoyed it).

I liked SmilingDog but what he did was deliver a bad game when a lot of people really wanted him to work on this. IIRC he wasn't so much surprised that people liked it, he kept putting it off to work on his, IMO, dumb Naruto parody game that doesn't even look that good. I have thoroughly investigated it and never once found anything remotely interesting or compelling about it - it literally seems generic on just about every aspect you would anticipate. It's cool that people like it, but he burned his fans the wrong way and deserved backlash for it. I haven't touched anything of his since then, and I just happened to notice that this somehow has a 4-star rating? It's probably a 2.5 at best, so people must be shilling for him again.
Alright so I tried the game and honestly I should of expected it'd not have alot of agency, art was nice, characters were cool, Protag sucks, story sucks (very little choices in terms of how to approach things) I did not enjoy the story at all and might be avoiding work from whoever develops these games in the future.
Bit of clarification, the way things play out in this isn't suited to my taste, so saying it sucks is just a personal opinion, I just really didn't enjoy being herded towards an ending the way it played out in this game, good job though and thank you for the effort developer I enjoyed some of the game but the story just honestly killed it for me I'm sure someone else will enjoy this more.
If I ever see the dev hit me up I won't mind going into more detail and sorry for being harsh I just finished going through each of the ending so my feelings are/were fresh while I typed this.
