And it seems that Rize is going to be an ally this time around, while the Succubus sisters are going to be the main antagonists. I'm honestly excited for Milly's new scenes since I think she has a lot of potential, but Adrene scene wasn't my thing honestly (not a fan of reverse harem)

had no such problems so sadly can't help, but the weird part was how has to buy movement speed at the start in the shop to even move one square

I was expecting/hoping this. The game is really too short at the moment. BTW, why do you need a Japanese VPN to open the dlsite link? It's the first time I note this behaviour in the site (simple curiosity).

Have you tried this?
Before unpacking this game via winrar, go to {options/name encoding} and set it to Japanese. After unpacking, launch the game by using Japanese locale emulator program.

The problem is solved. I just had to wait for it to finish loading; it just takes a little while to start up

Yep. Downloaded it from Anime-sharing website and having the same issue. Loading takes up to 1 minute.

I just discovered this thread when I searched for the RJ code.

I finished playing this game, Maso x Zako Quest, earlier today, and liked it more than I expected... though it definitely fits the OP's "trying to avoid" (a bit of BDSM in one of the routes, and if feet worship counts as BDSM then it's actually everywhere... and it's untranslated, and many routes have a slavish MC later on), and it also doesn't have direct reverse rape (i.e. handjobs and such, but no sex), it very much fits every other point with the MC's willing submission to weaker opponents who tease him and level+money draining and manipulate him. You can get a softer experience by doing only the thief girl Sora's victory path and the vampire sisters path.

I went and wrote a relatively spoiler-free walkthrough as I went through it. Hopefully someone else finds some use from this.

This threw me off, too. Especially since this game actually has DRM, so I assumed the DRM wasn't properly cracked...

I use Tunnelbear, which has a limited quota but is free. It has a browser extension. You need to specifically change your region to Japan when you use it, because DLsite's new block is IP based.
