He keeps it up and the game will need to change the name to Swordseeker. Now where did I leave that sword this time?

Hi. That should actually be fixed with Mod v0.9b. Please try to redownload the Mod. Maybe you still have an old version. There is an error in s1e9.rpy line 1905 "

I mean, to be fair, there are plenty of AVNs that "have no idea what they want to be"... However, in this case, I'm confident this game has been fairly consistent with its identity... it's always been goofy while having a serious story going on. I don't see an issue with that (it's fairly common in manga/anime)... but it's also understandable that a lot of people won't like it... not everything is for everyone. But I gotta say, one of the comments from critics of any medium that always annoys me is, "this title doesn't know what it wants to be". I hate that comment. The critic needs things to fall into compartmentalised genres or else they can't appreciate it. What about the rest of us who like something new?
The problem is more with the pacing I think. There are plenty of games that mix goofy humor with some mystery or drama and do it well, like Caribdis games or Stray Incubus BUT they give enough time to build tension, soak player in atmosphere etc. In Swordbearer it's often the matter of few frames switching from goofy to serious, which, in my case, leave me with "oh, so I'm supposed to treat you seriously now?".I mean, to be fair, there are plenty of AVNs that "have no idea what they want to be"... Anyways, one thing I'd like to see is a bit more polish... it could use better sound editing and more music variety... some songs feel a bit out of place with the scenes they play on.
I'm not sure what they mean either. Samira is marked with heart, but I was extremely confident she was just a side girl. It can't be lewd stuff, cause others like Lanya, June & Carmine aren't marked with heart. Esther is not even in there, so it isn't actually uptodate anyway. Can anyone explain to me why some characters got hearts around their avatars in journal and others dont?
Is it something like main girls/side girl thing?
Yeah, I can see that... like I said, it needs a bit more polish in general, and that includes the pacing and even some of the interactions... I found the conversation with the vampire chick after they fight extremely poor... that's a good of example of a bad tone shift... it goes from very serious to not only goofy, but just lacking... plus all those renders were waaay too dark, tbh.The problem is more with the pacing I think. It's fine to have lighthearted scene at the beginning of an update and then build atmosphere for something serious, but this constant roller-coaster feel like 'Mr Bean in Cyberpunk 2077' - it's fun for 10 minutes, but not for entire game.
I believe CC has mentioned that he plans on updating the codex for the next update, but don't quote me on that. For now, it's safe to assume that the 3 primary LI's are Esther, Leliana, and Lyra. I'm not sure where Talitha stands since she's been almost entirely missing since chapter 2 or chapter 3.I'm not sure what they mean either. Unless it's changed CC said that there was 5 LI (Talitha, Lyra, Princess, Nevaeha, ?. Last one is kinda spoiler-y) Which most of us assume to be Leliana.I believe CC has mentioned that he plans on updating the codex for the next update, but don't quote me on that. I kinda remember that (though my memory is shot most of the time). While I keep hoping Luneira is that 5th mysterious LI, it just doesn't make sense considering her situation being bound to the Swordbearer whoever it may be.Unless it's changed CC said that there was 5 LI (Talitha, Lyra, Princess, Nevaeha, ?. And then there's the harem route, whether we have to take all 5, and whether we can add side girls, as far as I know, he has never confirmed one way or the other.
I like her too, hopefully be some stuff with her. (But, I don't even know if she can get out of the sword?)I kinda remember that (though my memory is shot most of the time). Well, they are mercenaries, not exactly people you would ever trust dumb as fuck to join them.I feel like a dark path is needed in this game ... perhaps joining the mercenaries was the start of that path but why make 'em attack MC and company? That was a low blow from the developer
Nevaeha is a main LI really? Up until this point seemed like Astrid had more development, at least with the MC, a bit of a shame if he puts her as a side girl honestly...Unless it's changed CC said that there was 5 LI (Talitha, Lyra, Princess, Nevaeha, ?. That's what CC said. As far as I know nothing has changed that. But I'd agree that Astrid seems to have more development so far.Nevaeha is a main LI really? Up until this point seemed like Astrid had more development, at least with the MC, a bit of a shame if he puts her as a side girl honestly...
