am i the only one to think that the choice to accept Damien offer in this update doesnt make any sens?

Damien and the mercenary with him attacked mc group just because they where passing by, meaning that they would have killed anyone else who passed by this road + him saying that they even get request to kill bad people, also getting in the sens that they kill innocent people. And it's the same with stealing where he give the choice to steal only from corrupted people, meaning that they also steal from innoncent as well.

So why the mc and his friends would want to work for them to begin with?
If it was to gather more information about this group in order to put them down later i could have understand but it doesnt even cross their mind.
Sure they can make some good by killing or stealing from some corrupt/criminal, but this brotherood is a bunch of killer and thief who also kill and steal from innocent people, and for mc's group to ignoring that and just working for them doesnt make much sens with that reasoning either ...

So, I'm using the mod and when I get to the library scene talking to Finley, the recommended option is "Is that Rosabelle?" but I can't select it. I'm assuming this means I've missed meeting her in the past at some point? Any help on where that was supposed to happen?
That is the first time you meet Rosabelle,

but if you listened to Yalandre's story back in Episode 2 or 3, then spoke to Cedric the Librarian at the palace party in Episode 6 and asked him about that book, he will tell you to find Rosabelle. That's why you wonder if that might be her.

So if you didn't have the option, you didn't do one or both of those things. :)

I feel like a dark path is needed in this game ... perhaps joining the mercenaries was the start of that path but why make 'em attack MC and company? That was a low blow from the developer :Kappa:

Hi. That should actually be fixed with Mod v0.9b. Please try to redownload the Mod. Maybe you still have an old version.

But I gotta say, one of the comments from critics of any medium that always annoys me is, "this title doesn't know what it wants to be". I hate that comment. The critic needs things to fall into compartmentalised genres or else they can't appreciate it. What about the rest of us who like something new?
I mean, to be fair, there are plenty of AVNs that "have no idea what they want to be"... However, in this case, I'm confident this game has been fairly consistent with its identity... it's always been goofy while having a serious story going on. I don't see an issue with that (it's fairly common in manga/anime)... but it's also understandable that a lot of people won't like it... not everything is for everyone.

Anyways, one thing I'd like to see is a bit more polish... it could use better sound editing and more music variety... some songs feel a bit out of place with the scenes they play on.

The problem is more with the pacing I think. There are plenty of games that mix goofy humor with some mystery or drama and do it well, like Caribdis games or Stray Incubus BUT they give enough time to build tension, soak player in atmosphere etc. In Swordbearer it's often the matter of few frames switching from goofy to serious, which, in my case, leave me with "oh, so I'm supposed to treat you seriously now?".
It's fine to have lighthearted scene at the beginning of an update and then build atmosphere for something serious, but this constant roller-coaster feel like 'Mr Bean in Cyberpunk 2077' - it's fun for 10 minutes, but not for entire game.

Can anyone explain to me why some characters got hearts around their avatars in journal and others dont?
Is it something like main girls/side girl thing?

I'm not sure what they mean either. Samira is marked with heart, but I was extremely confident she was just a side girl. It can't be lewd stuff, cause others like Lanya, June & Carmine aren't marked with heart. Esther is not even in there, so it isn't actually uptodate anyway.

Yeah, I can see that... like I said, it needs a bit more polish in general, and that includes the pacing and even some of the interactions... I found the conversation with the vampire chick after they fight extremely poor... that's a good of example of a bad tone shift... it goes from very serious to not only goofy, but just lacking... plus all those renders were waaay too dark, tbh.

In fact, the last update felt a bit rushed, tbh...

I believe CC has mentioned that he plans on updating the codex for the next update, but don't quote me on that. For now, it's safe to assume that the 3 primary LI's are Esther, Leliana, and Lyra. I'm not sure where Talitha stands since she's been almost entirely missing since chapter 2 or chapter 3.

Unless it's changed CC said that there was 5 LI (Talitha, Lyra, Princess, Nevaeha, ?. Last one is kinda spoiler-y) Which most of us assume to be Leliana.

And then there's the harem route, whether we have to take all 5, and whether we can add side girls, as far as I know, he has never confirmed one way or the other.

I kinda remember that (though my memory is shot most of the time). While I keep hoping Luneira is that 5th mysterious LI, it just doesn't make sense considering her situation being bound to the Swordbearer whoever it may be.

I like her too, hopefully be some stuff with her. (But, I don't even know if she can get out of the sword?)
