I would gladly give the guy money on Itch, but not if its 3 versions behind.
He just updated that one to v.33.
Though I guess I could just do itch and then download the newest version here.
A compromise
Yeah. I've been supporting this every month since Beta 17, since April 0f 2020, not hard to figure out how much I (and other "fun tier" subscribers) have personally contributed to the 19k a month this project is currently raking in.
By now, I'd have expected development/updates to increase exponentially and very rapidly, but it's only in the last 3-4 "Betas" that things have
just started to accelerate in terms of real content and visible, tangible progress.
Znelarts are still going to get their $19,700 a month, regardless of however many Betas leak on these sites, so it's really up to them to get their ass(es) moving toward a final release and invest in some proper protection. That or choose a different line of business altogether.
Pirates will always exist, just like shrinkage will always exist in other businesses. You either have a solid enough plan to counteract it or you sink. Nothing they or any other developer can do, so they're better off just relaxing and focusing on delivering a solid product in return for people's investment.
Sorry for the long-ass novella rant, just my two pennies.
