I hope this is a joke. I mean, sure, the game developers could probably optimize it better and reduce the file size, but are you seriously comparing a 3D game to something made in Ren'Py, where there's no real graphics, just images made with other software? Creating a 3D game is exponentially more complex, and optimizing it is a specialized skill that, for indie adult game developers (who are already working with limited resources and aren't exactly welcomed in mainstream communities), might not even have. It’s not just about learning how to compress images without losing quality; it's a whole set of skills that specialists usually handle. And where would small, indie devs get the resources for that? All available resources are spent on content, mechanics, bug fixing, and so on. The comparison is just unfair.

I'm so glad there's someone with a brain in this thread. Imagine crying over a measly 10 gigs. I bet you the people crying about that small size are the ones that have no problem downloading the next shitty call of duty at over 100+ GB lmao

I played the game for 2 days and then deleted it again. Today I reloaded it and wanted to play but the old save files are no longer there. Is that normal?

Seems like the new update broke Cameras, because after getting a video in a position, replacing the camera with a different quality doesn't get you the different video, so you have to commission the other qualities to progress, and not using the promax first is the worst deal, since that commission is 1.5k per video.

Saves are located in the game's data folder. If you deleted the game, then you deleted your saves.

I'll disagree here as an indie dev.
First off.
Dev doesn't fuckin matter. No one cares about how dev goes. That's just the way it is. If they did? people would happily spend 300$+ on a video game that takes 3000+ hours to make.but no. we like to spend as little as possible. oh you took 3000+ hours? 10$ game at 50% off or get out of my face! (it gets pirated lol)

This isn't fucking Steam. This isn't a file hosting site.
These games host on 3rd party sites, which also don't have big money to back them. and because of that?
and they have limits.

idk if you know? but 10gb is over that.
It's not the download time that is the problem. I'm sure others have all the time in the world.
But its egregious. I've seen games with 6x the content have 1/6th the file size with no quality loss(and yes it was 3d). You just have to give a shit.
LIke Unreal Engine its self begins with a bloated ass file thats already 3GB from an empty start. But if you give a shit?(and thats the key point here) You can get that down to 600mb. and THEN build your game. which is better anyways cause then itll run better. i'm sure many here have downloaded an unreal engine indie game that makes even a 5090 max out for no god damn reason.

Made a simple cheat mod for the game (v1.1.6), mostly for the parts that annoys me, and decided to share it with you guys.

All Cheats are optional.

To install: just extract zip's contents into game folder, (Assembly-CSharp.dll should go into "TheWifeNextDoor_Data\Managed\Assembly-CSharp.dll")

To Enable Cheats go into "Settings>Tutorial" and toggle the cheats (in our out of the game doesn't matter).

Options;

Stop Time: Stops time for all timers.
Easy Unlock: Makes unlock game always win.
10x Risk: Multiplies "Max Risk" with 10.
Easy Camera: Lets you instantly install camera + lets you buy/carry 90+ cameras
Infinite Loot: Removes bag size check (little buggy items goes out of the screen in inventory but its just a visual bug, everything works as expected

After i give Karlyn the , i get the objective to " Click the yoga mat to exercise together with Karlyn.", if i click the mat it just starts a basic exercise without her, tried going to the park too end exercise there, still nothing. Reloading my save didnt help either. Did anyone also encounter this ?

p.s.: theres also some misleading text with the streamer girls quest descriptions.
quest says: ' find the bag in the luxory apartment '
but the bag is not there, but in the Mansion instead

Yes, it is normal. Unfortunately the save files are stored in the game folder

So it wasn't just me who noticed this bug
It's bugged both ways for me
Promax first to other cams doesn't work
Basic cam to Promax doesn't work

Default clothing is also locked for me from earlier clothing option
