Heya, first off, awesome of you to put so much time and effort into creating something like this ^^
Like you said, this game is indeed getting a lot of likes because even in these 0.XX versions it has a lot of potential! And theonly reason I'm typing this out is because I want to see it reach greatness ✨
But if we drop all the hard gameplay-numbers for a minute. Regardless of what the ingame numbers actually are, people's feelings about your game (mine included) are that it is too grindy for their taste.
We can see that right now The Wish is getting 2/5 stars, and if we read the reviews: 9 out of 10 reviews state a main reason for their low scores is the long grind.
And no matter what kind of discussions we have here, or what explanations or stats you have or can show, those experiences won't change unless the game changes, right?
So can I ask what you are planning to do to address this feedback?
How do you think the game can change so *peoples experience* won't be of a long grind? Regardless of game stats/data
I try to take the comments into account but sometimes it is complicated to make corrections when they cannot be corrected.
Example:
- Zirenaz complains about not knowing what to do in the game and he doesn't know where the girls are. Moreover, the game is full of bugs. He received 12 likes. => What should I correct? Each NPC has a walkthrough and a calendar with their positions. And how do I fix the bugs if he doesn't explain them?
- There are many complaints about the repetition of quests because having to do all the quests 20 times is super grindy, especially when you can only do them once a day. => There are only 4 NPCs that have the 1st quest that must be done 20 times, and this can be done in 2 in-game days (10 times per day). Moreover, there are no conditions on the first quests, so this one can be done without having any friendship, Love, or corruption points.
- Supposedly 6 hours of gameplay without being able to get 1 potion because there is too much material needed to make them. => There are several methods to obtain potions without crafting them (in chests that regenerate, from certain drops, etc.). And for the materials needed to craft potions, you can't tell me that in 6 hours they didn't see that it was possible to reduce this number with a skill that can be maxed out in a few minutes. Then, there are also items for sale and another skill that increases monster drops.
- That even after cheating, it takes hours to progress in the game. => Sorry to say this but it just means they are cheating poorly.
I cannot correct when people invent problems that do not exist or that already have solutions in the game.
Then, you have other comments like those from WhiteTpoison or Rannath that are still at 1 star even though the game has been modified and I have resolved several issues they pointed out.
I would like to find solutions to further reduce the grind, but for that, I will need real feedback on the actual functionalities of the game.
