I'm happy to announce that I can finally share something of the harem game I'm making (it is more like a slave trainer/survival game at this point, but there will be harem elements later). Technically there are a lot of game systems that are not in place yet, including the one to break the slaves and make them fall in love with you, so this is really just a sneak-peek.
Thanks for the demo, if my memory is correct, it's a spin-off within the same universe of the Zeta Sector?

Yes it's in the same universe. It takes place a bit later, when the Coalition (slavery is illegal but it exists) and the zetans (slavery is legal and yepp its everywhere) are at war, and the sector you are in is being fought over. You will have a part of the map where slaves are in low quality but the pirates are low tech (the zetans are more advanced than the coalition and the same is true to their pirates), and you will have a part of the map where slavers are high quality but God save you from the pirates :D

I'm happy to announce that The Adamant 0.0.02 is out!

I decided to do some playtests, and I found a pretty big bug in the 0.0.01 version. Technically, it's more of a feature, because I forgot to remove one of the test variables I put into the game, and as a result Clarissa enslaves the mc the very first time you whore her out on Proxima IV.

To actually have something new in this update, I decided to unveil another feature: randomized starts. Basically every time you start a game you would be in a different part of the map; your first slave would be different, the ship's condition would be different and the starting resources would differ as well. Right now this only affects the starting location (you can start either at Proxima IV or Terminus) and the starting resources. But later on this will be expanded.

I'm happy to annouce that The Zeta Sector 1.1.11 is out for the public!

This time I'm going to make the update free because there was a lot of bugs in the barge mission, and it's best to save everyone from being caught by them. I also made a small extension to this mission so you could return to the barge after buying a hacker robot from Elizabeth. You can also fail the mission, as the barge will go away if you prove to be too much of an annoyance.

The complete changelog is the following:

EXTENDED MISSION: Extended the slave barge mission so you could return if you decide to retreat (you will have to buy a hacker robot from Elizabeth once you patched up the ship's reactor). You can also fail the mission, as the barge will go away if you try to board it repeatedly.
EXTENDED MISSION: Extended the Zheng He event chain with a prisoner whom you could (try to) conversate with.
NEW DIALOGUE: Added new dialogue in the Zheng He event chain with a prisoner who is onbaord the vessel.
NEW DIALOGUE: Added more dialogue to the barge mission when Adelyn is enslaved by Elena.
STYLE UPDATE: Made the existing images appear more time in the Zheng He event chain.
BUGFIX: Fixed the bug that the slavers keep boarding the ship after you beat them back the first time.
BUGFIX: Fixed the bug that when Adelyn is alone in the boarding event, Elena is also present in the fight.
BUGFIX: Fixed the bug that you could retreat from the fight with the slavers when Elena is down.
BUGFIX: Fixed the bug that you could get the 400 telers multiple times from the barge in the crew quarters.
TYPO FIX: Fixed a bunch of typos, many of which were indicated by Sorter on f95zone. Many thanks!
NEW RENDER: Added a new render as Adelyn tries to communicate with another inmate.
NEW RENDER: Added a new render as another inmate tries to communicate with Adelyn.

In the meantime I asked a question on Patreon about making the channel more profitable, since it doesn't really grow. And people started to slam the unsubscribe button on the spot when they read it :D So I just realized I suck so much as a developer that I work on the games every day yet even the notion of compensation makes people furious :D I just so fucking hate my life now... There are no words to describe it.

But can those people write?

There are several developers who have very few comments on Patreon and come here, although there's a bit of everything here too, so it's a double-edged sword.

I posted it on Patreon so I think they read it. Not like it would matter a lot as I'm simply unable to grow the channel. My work doesn't worth money, that's all there is to it.

Maybe I could chop the concept up to smaller titles. The first one could be the introduction and Jafar. Then a second game on Alescia and a third on helcion iv. That way the titles could be made in 1 to 2 years and have meaningful decisions in them. It's just so difficult to think these through because everybody keeps telling me negative things... There is just so little positive stuff I come across.

Any opinions about this one? Or it's so bad I shouldn't even ask? :D

I haven't played it, but I like the idea of a random start like a procedural game, the problem is that your subs give me the feeling that they are real subs :4Head:, I don't know if they really like to dominate other PJs.

Or are they more switch players?

I want a game for dominants so I think this can be a problem. I also want to add more Dom content to my games so people who like the Adamant would also like them.

I guess it's more of a necessity as well because it took me 18 hours to make the barge mission alone and another six hours to fix up. And nobody gives the slightest fuck. And if there is Dom content too this sort of stuff still flies so you have more people who might give that slightest fuck :D

One thing you might consider is the whole-playthrough experience.
For me what comes to mind a lot from the recent playthroughs is that this is going to be too large. By the time you end Jafar you will be max gear, max corruption and fully enslaved to someone. And there are 5 other locations planned (Alescia, Helcion IV, the alien planet, the place the FTL upgrade takes you to and Garin's hideout). So I think I'm going to rip it apart and have multiple titles. If somebody likes Torei but not the other stuff that person will only want to play the Helcion IV one anyways, or if someone hates blue aliens, that person won't go there anyway. There could always be a canon ending, where Adelyn somehow doesn't end up as a sex slave in each title, with a couple questions asked in the beginning like in the mass effect games. This would work well with the femdom path too because I want gradual sissyfication, but that is only fun until you complete your journey. And of course by the end of Jafar everyone would get there.

Everything I have seen so far from you is AWESOME!
Take this as a positive note.

I have a Twine sideproject, so I know how much work this is.

And I think it's an honor to be compared to lost in laminate, as it basically defined the genre and has very polished content in terms of logic & completeness.

About the idea of splitting the game into episodes or something, I think it's a great idea for many reasons:
  1. Complete, polished main path(s): You can have a "canon" story that is consistent through all games and is complete.
  2. Side paths don't take too much dev work: Side-stories always conclude in the present episode and are NOT continued in later parts of the series. (Many projects die because of scope creep from side paths.)
  3. Clear distinction between episodes that are DONE and episodes that are WIP. (As a player, it is very disappointing to reach a surprising dead end in a game. A completed game/episode/section is much more fulfilling. An expected WIP is okay.)
  4. Shorter path to desired content: If I want to replay with a different choice, do I have to skip through 10 chapters or can I just jump to the episode I'm interested in?
  5. Variation in genre. As you mentioned, it's cool to have a one-off episode with different fetishes in the same world. If it were all crammed into the same game, purists would dislike that. This way, you can cater to different audience preferences without forcing the MIX. (Many patreon projects suck because they try to throw in a LITTLE BIT of everything, so they can set the tag. It is dissatisfying to a hardcore enthusiast because it's so little. But it also annoys non-interested people because they were looking for another specific thing. I think the best games have a clear focus and explore it thoroughly.)

Holy shit, your graphics for Adamant are really sexy.
And I already like the basic clothing / equipment system. Dressing up the slaves is a lot of fun. Would be really cool to have the all the equipment have real gameplay applications.

For a dom game, I would check out Space Journey X (nice clothing system) and Apocalyptic World (nice management aspects).
It seems to be a bit harder than for a sub game to find the right structure.

In sub games, the player is often coerced along various paths and that fits the setting.
In a vanilla game, the player follows the path of least resistance towards pussy.
In a dom game, it would be different because the player is a person with great agency.

It would be interesting to basically play the counterpart of a sub game MC and push another character down the path.
But it's hard to be all-powerful, but still limited enough to have goals.

Thanks! It's nice to hear something positive about my titles every now and then :)

It would be nice to have the first game completed within 1-2 years, with the entire concept crystallized at last. That way I could use it as a basis for the others and complete them fairly quickly.
Anyways. PLEASE make the game progress a bit puzzle-based and not so much dependent on repetitive grind to get numbers up.
We will see what fits the title. It will have a fairly long early development stage because I will have to have the gameplay just right, and 100% sure shat would fit and not fit. I will check out the titles that you mentioned, and see if I could draw inspiration from them :)

I hadn't thought of this, but it's good advice to 'hide' or make up an excuse in-game when something isn't finished.

As in the typical open-world game, they don't want you to get to an area of the city, so they make up some construction or traffic accident to let you pass much later.

Where they sell those expensive upgrades for the ship, they shouldn't say 'not available in this version', but make some excuse for not wanting to sell them, or throw Adelyn out because she don't have the money, etc.
