Wait, is it substantially different than what Skye says? Cause that encounter wasn't really what I'd consider 'wholesome'. Interesting, sure. Unsettling, yeah. It certainly was affirming too, but I'm pretty sure being told by an AI controlled doll '...if you need to kill, then kill...' doesn't exactly meet the criteria for 'wholesome'.

I played through this encounter before v1.2 update. It was... say, quite wholesome.

I've committed to more whiney sequence. Angel was actually careful and supportive. Because V ended up with something like small emotional meltdown, from what I can tell from scene composition and dialogues. So... uh... we didn't got even remotely close to said "...if you need to kill...", Angel was too occupied emanating (surprisingly careful) consolation and overall being your-typical-BFF-psychoanalyst.
Corporate / male / single-digit level, no quickhacks, didn't completed any side quests beforehead, didn't exceeded any wuss/jerk boundaries in other dialogues (where were possible). If my Memory serves me right, didn't got smoking-on-balcony scene yet either.

Dunno. I've always gone with Skye, male or female V, regardless of origin. First words out of her mouth are 'So V, you're dying...' and you are given the option to pull the safeword then and there. Being honest about your fear of death and being forgotten leads to her affirming that everything is always in flux, change is nothing to fear as it is a constant. The capstone being when Skye tells you to effectively keep the course and go full ham.

So yeah, it is certainly flattering to be told that you are on the correct path, just keep going, you're doing good. But again, when you remember that this is an AI controlling a doll and they're telling you explicitly to kill your opposition, it's less 'wholesome' and more 'replacing your therapist with Chat-GPT on a bender'.

Sure thing. I explicitly asked what, if any, of the differences were between the two routes. You didn't expand further. So I was left to explain why my experience was anything but wholesome. I wasn't criticizing Angel or you, just that my experience was very different. But no, I'm the asshole that needs help because you can't be assed to explain or expand on your point. For some reason my brain missed that we were compairing different branches.
I noted Angel specifically for a reason - I didn't played Skye route either (effectively being opposite of you in this regard), but old habit of listing all potential points of deviations led me to listing most important one in first message, other points in next post.

A hard question to answer since in most cases you are given the choice based on genre and content. So, I am not really tired of much since I simply stay away from unwanted fetishes.

Having to lose to get the content. A game like Aurelia handled it really well where you have to win its combat in a specific way to get some of the scenes. Give me my dopamine and my scene, dammit.
