Since it has been a while I went looking for info on this game. From their Discord 11 march:

I had to take some time off last week for my birthday and my daughters birthday. but I did pick up a rather expensive bday present for myself to help with all this. renders are now being done almost twice as fast as they were before.. I know this is taking forever on this update, I do apologize, trust me when I say it's probably irritating me more then it is you that its not out yet, I wanted to be finishing up day 5 this month, not still trying to finish day 4

NGL the intro had me thinking I wasn't gonna like this. It was very off putting but the story so far is actually pretty good.
