I feel there's just a limited selection of relatively minor changes between this and greatness, but that it somehow won't get there...

Is this game strictly rogue like or are there means to fast forward to some chapters. Are there global progression elements?

Right now, all the game has the the very basic backbone of a roguelite. Supposedly 2 items are unlocked by beating some bosses, in actuality : I've yet to see these two items show up and on top of that : they unlock again at the end of each run provided the bosses/triggers have been beaten. There is also some currency that goes over from run to run I think ? but that currency is practically useless, it just lets you buy a few perks from special rooms.

You technically can get a save that sends you at a specific point but it consists of multiple files in the unity folder as the game will check if the save file and the ones in the unity folder are matching.
That being said : there are 2 cheat systems who both work very well , yes it takes a long time to reach some of the later stage (I think a single run averages around 40 minutes for me ? but I'm not really rushing through anything)

I tried out this game because I'm looking for pregnancy mechanic games (that don't use 3D stock models and don't just pretend the kid doesn't exist after giving birth like Conquista 1/2) so the Guardian system and Inesa's S tier design interested me. Then I followed Scarletpaper on ci-en because I expected the game to be a lot longer lol.

It was pretty damn short and I enjoyed it, like its funny how you get a treasure chest guardian from getting knocked up by a mimic or the tentacle pit. But overall I realize I'm not a big fan of rogue-like H games where the only way to get H is to lose mid fight and prefer games more like the merchant scenes where you make the choice, I'm not a fan of bestiality and even more so bug sex of a girl fucking a slug, and this game will probably be finished in 2030. So my plan was to unfollow but then I saw I got a thank you message for following and well now I'd just feel guilty unfollowing... :[[[[

what the hell, what a downgrade. It does not even have her original 'innocent and gentle' demeanor - straight up looks demonic.
Bro exactly! The art change really annoyed me and I refuse to update the game since. That + no gallery + the sinful/lust route is the dumbest and easiest way to play it (there's so far 0 point to keep purity, even to see some items you normally wouldn't who cares lmao, no real impact to it) with no end in sight, I've kept my eye on this game for over a year and it's still the same shit... I guess this is the curse of developing H games, they always seem to get sidetracked by random irrelevant bullshit.

The fact that there's barely any games of this quality is insane.

AQ Eve, Agnietta's sequel (La Vitalis), and this are probably the ONLY good ongoing side scroller games that are not pixel art
I don't know what ongoing is supposed to mean since AQ Eve is completed as far as I'm aware, but Mission Mermaiden and Holy Knight Ricca set the bar quite high as well.

I dunno why people are being so negative about this game. The art quality is great, the kinks are right up my alley... but more importantly, its actually fun. Like, I don't mind playing through it over and over again, because its got some challenge to it. A gallery would be nice and all, but I feel like there's some value in needing to make an effort to get to the H you want. Its like... built-in edging. >:3

If they were to implement a "save point" system, I'd want it to be something that preserves the challenge. Let's say you want to skip the initial forest area and jump straight to the town area. You can do it, but you get dropped there with none of the bonuses that you would otherwise have gotten from playing through it. 40 health, no weapon upgrades. You get dropped in Werewolfburg with exactly the same toolset you would have had going into the forest, good luck.
