A comment about Henricus'/MC's reactions/planning on a certain path in Ch 1.5:

That was the main path I followed and the one that felt "right". At the point the game was I couldn't accept Glade's proposal and thought that Henricus would at least deserve the benefit of the doubt. Not only that but MC and Kasula had only just barely survived the Kraken's attack, so...
Not telling Will about it was the exact same, just as it was with telling Kasula to with withhold the information about her queen. It's was a gamble with the information we had at the moment, partially paid when confronting Henricus, assuming he's telling the truth. But then again, the MC has been his "son" for a long time...
It made me wonder what a weak kingdom and a stressed king would be able to offer someone apparently as powerful as the Kraken to secure Lady Zelene's release, but one has to consider the fact that Will survived the attack and may have heard things or maybe they suspected all the way, or even if they thought of it as a plan to get rid of Henricus.
Like I said, a gamble, but now I really want to know!

.One of my main goals as a writer is to have realistic character reactions. I believe it's fairly obvious that all the Love Interests find the MC charming, on top of being attracted to him as this is displayed either through their actions or dialogues. I do believe this is a realistic reaction. What isn't a realistic reaction, is the LIs sleeping with him just because they find him intriguing. There's quite a bit that needs to happen before each LI would even consider jumping in bed with the MC, let alone actually doing it.
Many romantic arcs that I've seen focus heavily on the developing attracting and interest between the two characters, and then after they pass that first hurdle, the floodgates open and suddenly the two characters are in love. Tides is a little bit of the opposite, the initial attraction and interest develops quite quickly, and the romantic arc is focused mainly on the period between initial attraction and love.
Ultimately, I see where you're coming from and I can see why you're a bit concerned at the moment. Yes, the LIs do seem to be drawn quickly to the MC, but will this equate to emotion-less sex straight away - no.
With regards to the choice... it's a minor choice, meant to allow players to immerse themselves better in the MC. I imagine most players will take the opportunity to compliment her, but there will be a minority which would prefer not to praise a Love Interest so early on in the game, especially when the praise is quite heavy. Hence why I added the choice.

this game needs more recognition, and i need glade fan sign asap
I know the dev already answered to this and i asked myself the same question as you did but here's how i interpreted it:
- Henrikus knows the Kraken and doesnt seem too concerned about the Kraken revealing his identiy which could of course be a lapse in judgement like you thought or he knows that the Kranken will not reveal it towards the humans
- I think we lack information about the Kranken's motivations, he could reveal that Henrikus is a spice weaver at any point to the king/humans, there is no real need to capture Zelene for that. Everyone believed immediatly that Henrikus is a spice weaver, he could just send a messenger to the king at any point.
I voted for Lorelei. I really really like Glade but really really dislike the start of her path (i know we probably dont have to take it for the relationship) and its less Glade who i dislike and more the MC in this situation.I also run a best LI poll after every update. TheYou must be registered to see the linksis free to the public, do you don't need to be a member to vote in it
Allying with the first pretty chick who walks along without knowing anything about her and betraying your whole crew and captain more or less isnt a way i would like a MC to act, not even an evil one

The missing achievement is the King Lovell Allegiance achievement. I forgot to add a pair of brackets in the code and as such, it's impossible to unlock the achievementView attachment 4293314

- Zelene will be a Love Interest in Part 2
- Elva will be a Love Interest in Part 3
- Brielle (the woman in my profile pic), will be a Love Interest in Part 2
- Violet will be a Side Girl in Part 2
- You'll meet the MC for Part 2 in the next chapter.
- The MC for Part 3 will be the son of Lorelei and Tobias (Tides' MC default name) in the Partner Lorelei ending.

This is a trilogy (3 games: Tides of Succession, Spice Mending, A Prince’s Compass ) with a different MC for each game.
In a Tides of Succession you play as MC from the start, you met him of course.
And in the next chapter of ToS you will meet MC of the 2nd game - Spice Mending.
MC in A Prince’s Compass is a son of Lorelei and MC in ToS (canon ending).

I now realise I could have phrased this much better, as using 'Part 2' and 'Part 3' probably gives people the wrong idea. My bad.
This is definitely not a prelude. As metamorphMP stated, Tides of Succession is the first AVN in a trilogy. Each AVN in the trilogy will be set in the same world and have some consistent characters throughout. However, they will each have entirely separate narratives, separate Love Interests and separate MCs.
I'm planning it in a way so that you don't have to play Tides of Succession to play the next two. To make it clear, they're entirely different AVNs, and should be treated as such. The best example is STWA: The Author, and STWA: Unbroken. They are set in the same world and have a few of the same characters, yet you can play Unbroken without having played The Author. My AVNs will be slightly more intertwined than the Author and Unbroken is (hence, the canon path), but I hope you get the idea.
