This is a slightly embarrassing story on my end.
When I first planned Tides, it had 10 or something planned Love Interests. However, I soon realised that with the amount of branching I wanted to have, 10 LIs was definitely not sustainable. So I cut it down to 3 LIs and designed some sequels for a few of the LIs.
However, I was still left with a couple of LI stories I wanted to tell. So I thought to myself, why not create 'secret LIs'. Practically, they're LIs that you meet on specific paths and then you have one choice regarding them. If you make that one choice, you're stuck on a shorter kinetic path. I still get to tell the stories I wanted to tell, it keeps the branching manageable and it adds something unique to Tides that no other AVN has.
I then started creating the official walk-through. I had a major internal debate, and then eventually decided to include their paths in the WT, even though they are secret, as otherwise it wouldn't be much of a WT. So I ended up 'announcing' my plans for the secret LIs through the WT.
Days after releasing the official WT for Ch 1.5, I was 100 renders into one of the secret paths and I wasn't feeling it. I wasn't motivated, and I just couldn't wait to get back to working on the 'proper' story. I did some more reflection, and I decided these secret LIs don't really add much to the AVN, and that I should just ditch them.
The problem is, only days earlier I had 'announced' my plans through the WT. So I decided rather than announce that I was deleting the secret LIs from my plans, I would just remove them from the WT and that's that.
The problem is, I removed them from the WT, but didn't refresh the updates page, meaning they still showed up. I also forgot to remove a specific line about the secret LIs. Hence why you could see the mention of secret LIs.
This is a prime example of the growing pains I mentioned in my latest dev-log. I'm not perfect, and since this is the first AVN I've made, I will make mistakes. I'm going to make a few decisions that I'll come to regret and I've accepted that fact. So I would like to apologise for this blunder on my end, looking back I find it hard to see the appeal of secret LIs.
TL;DR This is my bad. Secret LIs were once planned for Tides, but I removed them.
You are absolutely right. I have no idea how I didn't pick this up in my play-testing phase...
