I think that you bang Kasula on the pregnancy route, but not on the explorer route. I have two saves now and the deviation point seems to be whether you stay at the ball longer (explorer) or leave early with Kasula (pregnancy). Explorer is still my main route, but I do want to see what happens on the other one.

What messes with the ball the most is who you take and which allegiance you have. Tak dropped doing multi paths for the three LI's. I've been able to get the option to leave early with her on everyone's allegiance path other than Glade's and the King's.



However I'm still missing some scenes.

I’m aligned with Will and that’s all. I’m on Kasuna’s path (only) If we left the ball early, there was sex. If we stayed longer, there was not - she wasn’t ready yet.

Kasulas path becomes sexless if you have glade allegiance or king allegince, lorelei dinner or kissed glade at the spar.

This is correct. For Kasula to want to Unify with the MC so early on, she needs to have no doubts. So there can't be other women pining for your affection and you can't have any political allegiances which align you closely to another LI.

This is correct, but as I had already posed and rendered many of the extra paths, I left the longer, more romantic ones in (like Kasula's early Unity, Lorelei's adventure and Glade's adventure). However, rather than being an entirely separate path until the end of the game, these paths will converge in Ch. 4. What that means is they really just add a bit of flavour to your PT.

I have no alliances with anyone but Wil - and am well off any other paths, but at the ball, if you left early it was Unity, and if we stayed it was "not yet". I looked at the WT - and it said that early Unity was the pregnancy path, and waiting was the explorer path. I wasn't sure if that WT was still accurate though, so I did both. I'm aiming for explorer.

Cool, back to one save then - I mean, I guess it was good to see what happened if we stayed at the ball but the answer was - not very much really.

Would have been interesting if the "late" romance(*cough chopped-liver cough*) with glade was a bit different than if you've swooned her right from the start.

Lol, you're never introduced to Glade, you and the MC immediately know her name from the get-go.

If I may: for this kind of (good) games where story IS important, it would be nice to have a "previously in Tides of Succession" that could summarize the important events and your choices.

Some kind of end of chapter card might be good. The problem is that it’s only temporarily useful. Later, when the game is complete, the previously on section would just be annoying - like binging a tv show and seeing a ‘previously on …’ section that recaps the episode you just watched.

Yeah so you add a skip button just like BaDIK or the numerous over VNs that use the "last time on x" mechanic.

Hoping someone can help me out. Just wondering if this is really like a 6000+ render update "4+ hours" or is there a lot of animation renders, blinks, subtle movements and things like that? I try to play updates all at once but this one might be tricky. Thanks!

There's a lot of small animations, like Lorelei's mouth forming into a smile using multiple renders, etc. Tak goes for "show, don't tell" a lot with things like facial expressions.

I think it depends on your choices. There are probably 6000 renders altogether but unless you're a completionist and play every route and every variation on every route, you won't see them all. I don't think anyone has hit 100% for content viewed at this point. Personally, at the moment, I'm only on one route and it says I've seen about 20%.
